Yes, I'm still doing it Steve, but I'm still getting no where!
Mind you, I've got my sight set on a few handicaps this week

Would be great if we could all use the jockey mode to ride our horses in all the league races. Would make it really exciting. I know its not possible on this game but maybe a few Starters Orders games down the line. I always thought an online version of Starters Orders would be brilliant.

If it could be arranged in a few years time to have a Grand National played online that would be amazing!

That was the idea behind SO6 that's why the league was put away so long I think Mark had to many problems I think he might be trying it for SO7 but I don't know I think we would lose the league we know.

U imagine if one jockey stopped another in one race then the next time they raced against each other it would be a death match.

Plus everyone would have to be on line at the same time.

I think this would be a great idea and yes it should be a separated league.
maybe we just have set weights only to cancel out riders pulling up their horses?
But how would you do this?
It couldn't be in real time as time zones would be a handicap for some - plus you'd get lag with different ping rates.
I believe the only way it could be done is if each player rides the race once only on their pc and then send the file back to Gray for example
then he places all the info from the separate files into a race and then it's run like that.
And because I really am a computer noob - that might not be possible to do.

A real time online jockey mode was never really planned but is an obvious place to go. Right now there are no plans for this (and I scaled back online plans anyway). So many online games developed by smaller independents have sunk or ended up slowly dying lately and there are many reasons for this happening. For a start it does not really suit a niche game. You need lot's of people playing (and paying) to keep things going and pay for servers etc. Cheats/hacks in online games are a major problems (that have ruined some games) and there are plenty of technical questions that would need answering.

That all said I would like to get a prototype multiplayer option working at some point if only just to see how it worked. So there is always a possibility of something happening. Whether it would ever be available to the league is another matter.

The current league serves it's purpose for the hard-core players.

As for SO7 development has not started yet. Right now I plan sim improvements only. Visually not much is expected to change.

Try the new jockey mode option. 'Advanced jockey mode' in options. It's easier to play as you do not have to time the take off button.

Week 2 Monday - Some checks from Dubai to help pay the feed bill. A nice third in the Godolphin Mile being the high point. The Rest were bad. My jumps runners were horrendous.

I may have been more of a factor in Race 1 at Dubai if my jockey didn't think it was a wise idea to ride the outside rail turning for home.

Mark - Is there any way to fix the game so that in a large field the ones widest out don't think the far outside rail is the best place to be? 5 horses ran on the outside rail turning for home.

NH
Only 1 made the money with Tuvalu a close 5th in the listed Mares hurdle. Another furlong and she could surprisingly be decent
Had a few that didn't make it around

FLAT
Not many runners but Somalia gives the stable the first prize money with 4th in Epsom handicap. An excellent run. The 2 Dubai horses loved their holiday making up the numbers! College Chapel

Thanks to the team as always and congrats to all winners
