I had my first flat winner today, Corinthian Lad in the Quipco H/cap and a nice 5th in race 1 with Musselburgh Lad.

I was not expecting much in the jumps races today, except maybe race 4 where Born to Run was in the 2m novice chase, but he finished a disappointing 11th.
I did get one unexpected result with Treasure Chest finishing 2nd in the Pertemps Qualifier.

I have a couple of horses running tomorrow in races 11 and 18 who may do better.

Congratulations to the first time winners - you have one more win than me. I however am ranked pretty high in the earnings table.

Monday's flat runners all got a check with a surprise second in a stakes race. Tuesday's runners barely crossed the finish line.

My jumpers are terrible. Tuesdays runners ran pretty good though. I apologise for all the front runners I have. It just worked out that way. If your speed horse was hindered by me - so sorry.

Thank you for your kind words Jalupen, you too Cairns123! Indeed the new breed of trainers (I call you the young guns) such as yourself are going to be hard to beat as you are bringing the level of training higher still!

Very happy with Big Dreams effort but as is the most important thing in racing he had clear running all the way. It will get harder from here.

Congrats to all the winners and especially to those that won first time in Wannabe and scrudley. Sirius don't give up mate it will come. I Still remember my first win. It was a horse I won in auction from superstar trainer Jason Burke (my mentor) back in S03. Back in those days you were allowed to auction off other top trainers horses to newbies and those I think that only won 1 race I think. I was lucky to have selected a super horse named "Peyton To Marvin" and the race it won was the G1 Golden Jubilee!!!!. It was my first time in the League too. I can tell you I got the bug that day big time and it still has me!

Doug, keep up the good work, you are making a difference mate!

Oh I'm no maiden. I'm a Group 1 winning trainer with 37 wins altogether in the past 3 seasons. Even a few from SO3 or 2 or something. It's been so long.

Well I've been sitting on my first win for a few days now - I thought Achiever had a real chance in the three horse field and he came up trumps :-)
Pity Tele was on holidays....it would have made a great punting race and talking point lol
Congrats to all the other winners on day two!

Sirius I think u flat horses need what u jump horses have and that's more pace in the race, the horses I have seen of u's(not all)race to far of the pace on the flat. I think if u horses raced closer to the pace they would have a better chance. I love some of u front runners over the fences.
