 Changing Lineage
In prep for the online league, last min prep really, I recently created a breeding game by pooling a few of my best colts and a load of 2yo fillies, over a few seasons I ran the stars for money generation then set up a barn and started breeding a series of lines to improve my team. After a few seasons I noticed the distance of one of my fillies changed and when I checked this was due to the lineage having changed to a horse I had never heard of. I assumed this was a glitch, so retired that horse and all it had sired to cut out what I assumed was a glitchy line.
After the next season end, it happened again, then the year after with two more fillies, the season after that two of my best stallions went the same way, and I wrote the whole game off as a bad egg.
So this is sort of a bug report I guess, though I also wanted to ask if this is normal when pooling horses game to game, I am of a mind to do this again as I do not want to speed through my main game, enjoy playing it still, but wanted to increase my chances of breeding something decent in the league. Though I also do not want to breed something excellent with one of these fuzzy lines, that is then deemed to be a hacked horse, especially since I have no skill with such things.
Thoughts?

Josh No idea about the bug, that sounds strange haha! But I can assure you that you can be competitive in the league without pooling horses, I've had 1 single game since I rebooted it up about 2 months ago and got to about season 32 and I'm able to be competitive in high handicaps over the flat and Listed/G3 races over the jumps just from that 1 flat game and had plenty of G1 horses by doing this. As long as you know where to look stats wise when searching the early auctions and build a good base you can be competitive (I tend to try find good stallions and breed with every G1 winning gamebred filly in the barn until I build my own base from that), I managed to find a good sprinter and 1m2f stallion early doors and just mixed and matched breeding (this also gives you a good distance spread) churning out 50/60 horses a season. Pooling the horses just confuses me and I certainly don't have the time for it lol! Best of luck

 Re: Changing Lineage
To be honest I really don't think this sort of breeding will be a problem in the league. As a muso....a mistake should always be explored and I think this applies to life and SO6 As long as you are not fiddling with the stats of your horses and trying to enhance them thru hacking into them I can't see the problem.

 Re: Changing Lineage
The lineage line feature has always been messed up. Showing parents of a horse over the wrong side of the family. Sometimes transfer pool horses will have a name you know is wrong. The feature needs to be fine tuned A LOT. It's getting kind of annoying.

 Re: Changing Lineage
So as this seems to be a known issue, what's the view on horses trained and then potentially glitched in such a manner being entered into the league or indeed their sires?
I deleted the offending game, but would like to know one way or the other before trying again. My main game progresses slowly as I play watch and manage all my new horses so my turn over rate is slow.
