 Re: League Weekly reaction
Monday Day 1 - Two near misses for wins ~ again!!! One in a Group 2 and another in a Feature Handicap. These near misses are killing me and if they do kill me it's a great way to die. MJ - I always root for your horses when I don't have a runner in the race. US pride and all. That race you lost was surely a crazy finish. Congrats to Nick too.

 Re: League Weekly reaction
Tuesday Day 2 - A nice third and a bunch of good efforts in both codes. Being 6th to 10th best in most races leaves me again in no man's land. Can't beat the top 5 and usually better than the rest. My horse's are rated too high from their first run. I go into each race hoping either they challenge for the win or finish dead last. Oh well.

 Re: League Weekly reaction
Arrow Greens breaks the maiden tag winning the 5f nursery.
Another stinker on the jumps and my flat team have as many wins as my jumpers which is very strange

 Re: League Weekly reaction
Good Monday, landing my first league winner over fences and 2nd and 3rd to boot. Less to shout about on Tuesday and my flat team continue to be exposed on extra pace. Will worry about them next year.

 Re: League Weekly reaction
A good day for my jumpers.
Oh So Risky 7th is now stuck between a rock and a hard place, not good enough for group races and to high in the h'cap.
Little Bay 3rd not bad, aim is to win any race.
Brown Wren F fell again, can jump brilliantly but can also smash through one.
Barnbrook Again 1st, needs soft ground so it was good to see him win before the ground goes against him.
Cybradian 1st, will have to run in group races from now but is probably not good enough.
Sidbury Hill 1st, might be my first group win by a stayer but now has no chance in the National. The group 1 at Cheltenham is now the target.
Ten Of Spades 2nd, it's taken 7 weeks to get a run so it was good to see him run well. The aim is the Grand Steeplechase de Paris.
And Paul u have some nice 2 milers.

 Re: League Weekly reaction
Not too bad a start to the week.
One winner, Practical Man, in a 3m 5f h/c chase. Only 2nd time he has made it round, usually gets pulled up or unhorsed.
A lot of minor places, 3 x 4ths and 4 X 5ths

 Re: League Weekly reaction
BOOM!
Four winners on the flat this week for my game bred auction bought team.
Race 20: MR McGOLDRICK: Brilliant front running performance, looked beaten but kept pulling out more all the way up the straight. Race 22: UNIVERSAL BIRTH: Showed a good turn of foot in this grade to win with something in hand. Race 30: JERICHO: Delivered late and this time went away to score in good style, deserved this after running very well lately. Race 32: EMPEROR: Stayed on grimly to land the extreme prize.
Total time spent building the team around one hour!

 Re: League Weekly reaction
Another flat winner, Mozambique wins the maiden handicap off a lowly Mark!
Had many others making the money today including 2 in NH G1s
Congrats to Cairns on his Welsh national 1-2.
Thanks to all involved again, I am still loving it every week

 Re: League Weekly reaction
Poor final day showing bemoaning the lack of pace in my team breeding lines. Lots of work to be done, and a few prayers for my front running jumpers.

 Re: League Weekly reaction
Reasonable week for me: One winner, in the Castleford Chase which was a huge suprise, the horse shocked me by winning last week and now wins impressively of a higher mark. Had quite a few run into the money including 3rd in the Welsh National, well done Martyn especially with exposed handicappers, "Laterly" has now finished in the money 4 times consecutively without winning and the handicap mark keeps creeping up. Also had a good 4th in the Northumberland Plate. The one downside was my one and only star horse being the victim of one of those ridiculous "pull-ups" again in the Long Walk Hurdle. His form figures for the last 4 weeks are 1P1P! I think I am probably lucky as I have only suffered 3 of these incidents so far, 2 with my best horse
