Had a Super gamebred Mare in my game won 7 gold cups and should have been 9 in a row
not saying speed isnt important but if you look at her daughters stats she does not have a great
speed bar but dominates my trials in CK

Shes a little belter going to breed the heck out of her
Nice Cruising burst to and she front runs and stays longer than the mother in law

Anyway hoping to have some star stayers next season

PJ I think the speed bar theory is prob only best in flat. if we're talking about the jumps it might be different. I dunno really ? I can never get a consistent 4mile + horse , any tips on that ? Most of the offspring even out of my good 4 milers turn out to be only 2mile4f or 3mile and it's hard to keep the 4 mile breed lines ?

these are flat races and flat trials

when it come to breeding national horses you have no choice but to use a 4m4 gamebred
i sent my best flat stayers to a 4m4 gamebred and in time after many generations
you get genuine 4 miler plus horses with full potential bar or close to it and then dont export
or trail them until they are 9 10 & 11 its very time consuming as you have to race
each of them until they are at least 10 but its a good challenge

Paul u game bred mare is like my game bred colt Salt Lake in that he didn't give his horses super bars but they were just good horses, well one of his sons almost won a group 1 in the league.

over 4 mile horses over jumps are slightly different. I posted stats of some of mine who look like 1m4 flat horses. My horses with full stamina bars don't stay over 4 miles.

If you play the NH game it is easier to find good stayers. But they need to be at least 8 to be any good in the CK. Even mine who looked good at 7 are way better at 8 or 9 in trials.

Normally if a game horse wins the 3m5 grade 1 at Auteil at a young age ( 5 or 6 ) there is a good chance it will produce horses who stay when they get older You just need to find one of the Auteil winners in the breeding barn and breed it with some decent jump stat horses. Jumping stat needs to be good for your horses ( you can see this in the training screen ) else the horses will fall or get pulled up too often, especially in the league. Over hurdles it can be average, but for long distance chasers it must be good as it makes a massive difference. A lot of mine have won this season because of their jumping and I put that down to high fast jumping and safe jumping bars

And make sure the horse doesn't want firm going, that will be no good to you in the league

I love the fact that the race discriptions says "front rank"

I love horses like that.

Good on you Paul it seems you will do much better next season. You are already good now but looks like I will win less races because of you now

You also have a classic distance horse too!!!

Yeah I read that or something like that that gave the impression that SO7 was a couple of years away.

Stage one - get more full potential at 3yo - check
Stage two - breed full extra speed in lines 5f through to 1.4f - nearly check gotten up to 1.3f
Stage three - augment with cruising burst - proving difficult this without a top class breeding stayer who seem to hold CB better than most.
Stage four - round off the soft factors
Stage five - pray for luck and a monster :)
