 Re: League Weekly reaction
Well I scored a second and a third....which I'm quite happy about. Had a couple of horses drawn very wide in large field and were kept wide throughout so those two I will over look. Good calls Mike and congrats to the winners and placegetters and well done to the team behind the scenes,
Doug

 Re: League Weekly reaction
Not much for me to shout about this week after a great week last week. Best result coming with Guardian Of The Galaxy's 4th in the Listed Mares' Hurdle.
NH Ratings will be updated in TOM over the next hour.

 Re: League Weekly reaction
No flat runners today, but an excellant day over jumps.
First race of the day for me was race 3 the Challow G1 Novices Hurdle and my first G1 winner of the season. Route One Lad ran a storming last furlong to just get up. I thought he might have a chance of minor place but never expected him to win a G1.
Race 7, the Tolworth G1 Novices Hurdle and Tree Surgeon won a close finish to win my second G1 of the day.
It's like waiting for buses, you wait ages and then one comes along followed by another.
Race 6, the mares hurdle. Marmalade Lass had a good lead with a furlong to go but Leons horse finished like a sprinter to beat her into 2nd.
Race 8, the Scilly Isles G1 chase. Born to Run ran a strong race to finish 3rd.
I had a couple of other runners in longer distance races that finished near the back of the field. Just about what I expected.
Lots of nice prize money today, pity I can't spend it. Had to buy a new computer yesterday as the old one, (8 years old), finally gave up the ghost. Whatever caused the hard drive on my computer to fail also managed to kill my backup drive as well. So much for keeping 2 copies of everything. I managed to salvage some of my data files but both copies of the download link for SO6 were corrupted. I have emailed SO6 support for a new download link, but so far they have not replied. Until I can install SO6, I can't tell if my ttf files are ok. I hope I don't have to start from scratch again.
Well done to all winners and places and a special thanks to all those behind the scenes who spend so much of their free time on setting up the races. I must be an addict as I am having withdrawal symptons from not playing SO6 today.

UKRA Been ages since my last winner on the flat but got a big double today with my stayers.
Juniniho ran on too late but a decent 3rd in the Vintage Stakes
Ze Lawnmower god gotta love this horse wanted to lead in the Goodwood Cup didnt get it got stuck on the inside then moved out wide and stuck on like a star to DEAD HEAT his 2nd group 2 win he usually does things the hard way but that was such an exciting finish
Another exciting finish came in the Ascot Stayers Cup and Azz De Mei needed every yard to win my stayers by far the best part of my team very proud of them
NHC
Von Miller ran well 3rd in pertemps
Titalist Ii made it 2 from 2 and remains unbeaten (ONLY JUST)
Shangai Bullett Train Ii ran with great credit 2nd in the Clarence House
Won my 10th Grade/Group 2 today but still waiting for the big 1

 Re: League Weekly reaction
Flat -
Death Rattle ran another massive race when 4th at G2 level, barely a length away he just keeps improving! Swift Picura also keeps improving running a monster race when 5th in the G3, Tiesto another big run following up a 2nd in the Royal Hunt Cup with a 3rd in the Betfred Mile. Zeo High ran well in 5th and same goes for Starzilla Quay running consistently well again, no wins but plenty of promising runs and improvement.
Jumps -
Simeone running to his rating in 4th and will be a contender at Cheltenham but nothing else of note, poor week for me with the softer ground.
