Maybe I notice this more because of the comms but I am noticing a lot of hold up horses finishing of their races well. I don't think hold up/closer is the problem.

I think what Leon says makes sense - if your horse isn't good enough on the day or its running on unsuitable ground it runs the risk of getting pulled up.
It's not just horses tailed off - I've seen them pulled up from in the pack BUT I can't say I can remember a horse being pulled up from the first half of the field.

I do agree and I think this is a big problem that needs to be sorted and that is jockeys not riding their mounts out to the line.
We all know that in real life a jockey doing that would get smashed "pillar to post" doing that.
I hope Mark is looking into fixing this up with SO7 - when it is released.

The horse that has pulled up 4 times never pulled up in CK for me.
It's not that he's not good enough, he finished 4th in a decent race on his only completion.
I've had other horses that won graded races pull up too.
Whatever the problem is with it, it needs to be fixed for next league.

Bishops Frome, a horse rated 60, almost stole the Ebor before finishing a brilliant 3rd.
3 made the money in total on the flat.

Palestine finished a close 3rd to finally show some chase form but my big chances today fell

Cheltenham next week and I need a good week, praying for a winner to save my season.

Thanks to all for their hard work again this week.

I truly believe CK form does not = league form or standard.

For me it felt like half of my jumps team either fell or pulled up this week.
This week was probably my worst result in the Hunt.
Flat form was ordinary but that was to be expected.
Roll on the next lot of 0-85 races :-)

As Doug says a bigger problem is horses not been ridden to the line. I have definitely benefited from this in some races.

As for you horse pulling up there are variety of reasons, pace may be too quick is another. Like I said almost all my horses are hold up and they seem to be running fine, don't have any issues with horses pulling up

Flat -

Devil's Caviar ran a good race at York but got caught out wide. Scorpion ran very well in the Ebor but probably needs 1m7f/2m, Jet extremely dissapointing. Death Rattle continues to impress and has been given a nice respite from the handicapper in time for the Melbourne Cup via a pot shot at Doncaster. Cobra was good in 3rd despite being a fair way behind the principles but could end up at the Breeders Cup. Power Ranger was rubbish while Starzilla Quay was excellent in 3rd despite being spanked by a massively impressive Allegretto. Flawless Victory was flawless in victory once again and for what looked like a donkey to pick up 2 wins has been very pleasing.

NHC -

Robotnik could only manage 8th at Newbury and pleased Apollon didn't finish last in the Surrey National lol! Guardian Of The Galaxy was quite a fair way off at Fontwell but goes to the Mares Hurdle at Cheltenham. Coast sneaked into the top 3 and his season is coming good just in time for the Foxhunters. Zeo One brought up the rear.... Again.

Been very busy at work this morning so sorry for the delay with NH ratings. I hope to have them done by lunchtime so you can get your Cheltenham entries sorted.

So so week after 4 winners last week. I had 1 flat winner and 1 jumps winner and a few checks. My flat winner Dafodil Crosswords gave me a big smile after making a powerful move to overtake the leader and go on for the win.

I hope everyone has a couple of winners at Cheltenham this week. :)

I nearly jacked it all in on Thursday( life been s***** :( ) so if I cost any one a winner at the festival I'm sorry.

My horse Fascinating Rock won the Champion Hurdle! Wow!
Not many horses do the Imperial Cup/Champion Hurdle double.
Gains compensation for getting a race taken off him earlier in the season.

Nothing for me at Cheltenham so far but I do have better chances to come later in the week. Gutted to see Mexico unseat in the JLT handicap.

Ashley Moor followed up a win last week with a good 2nd.

Congrats to J Harrison for this St. Leger success and to all Cheltenham winners

All I can say is after Wednesday there will be a trainer from the Hunt in here with a smile on their face that big that not even a cricket bat could knock it off :-)

I'm glad I pulled back from the abyss.

I think I probably had my best ever day at Cheltenham.

Bellator 1st, what a way to start the festival.
Oh So Risky 2nd, finally showed his ability not a bad sub.
Christams River 1st, the queen of my jumps team, I wish I had more like her.
The Grey Monk 2nd, gave the winner 24 pounds, a outstanding run.
Ansar 2nd, met one to good today but cant ask for any more.
Florida Pearl 3rd, ground found him out.

Thanks to the Doug for some great calls and to all the other winners.

Poor start for me this week but wasn't expecting much from this week anyway. Death Rattle confirmed he's one of the best I've ever had with his 5th in the Doncaster Cup despite being best over 2m. Really hope he can go close at the Melbourne Cup.
