Hi Gray

I would like to help out with race running, but I am not sure my pc is up to it. I have uploaded a couple of races to youtube. Let me know if they are good enough quality.

In the game my pc runs at 60fps, but with bandicam, the fps drops down to the mid 50s.

The one concern I have is the size of the files, the 3m race was over 100mb and took 20 minutes to upload to yutube. Is it faster to upload to your dropbox?

My email is jims dot forums at btinternet dot com

I did try a 6f race at a higher quality but the file was larger than the 3m race above

Great Jim these are great I know you said the bottom was in higher quality I couldn't tell the difference when you have done the race I put the film into Movie Maker and save it to 1080 HD I run the races on Bandicam has a MP4 i see your Bandicam is a free version which means it has Bandicam.com across the film I think Kev uses a free one which doesn't have it maybe you could try but if you can't get or want to try another we can work around that so if you like I would like to invite you to my Dropbox and to run some races for the league.

Hi Gray

I downloaded OBS Studio, I think that is the one Kev uses. The settings he mentions in another topic are too high for my pc, so I played around a little with the settings. I had to reduce the quality a little to get a high enough fps rate. Uploaded a couple of videos at this setting. Tell me if they are ok.

The thing I notice about these videos is that they do not fill the whole, whereas the bandicam videos did fill the screen. Is that a problem?

Recieved your email, will try out racekit tomorrow.

Go into settings - video and make sure Base and Output Resolution are both set to the same res as your game. That should make your vids fill the screen properly.

I did have base and ouput settings set to the max resolution of my screen, (1368 x 720), but this was not the problem.

I was running the racekit in a smaller window to try and increase the fps rate and the vids were being exported at the size of the window. The solution ended being quite simple. In the preview window of Obs it showed the screen capture as a small vid. All I did was resize the vid using the drag handles on the corners of the vid. Now its full size output.

I have been busy practicing with tha racekit and capturing video, trying the varoius setting to get the best fps rates. I hope it will not be a problem, but when I set the going to good in a race, the sun usually shines and I get an fps rate that averages 55fps, the same as the demos vids I uploaded, but when I set the going in the race to very soft, it nearly always rains and that extra strain on my graphics card drops the fps rate to about 48. The vids still look ok to me, but once Gray processes a race like that and uploads it to youtube we will find out if it is ok. I have realistic weather turned off.

Now I can not wait to the start of the season.
