My computer is a middle range computer. With realistic weather and realistic shadows turned off but everything else set to high quality I could run races at 60fps.
The races I ran in week 1 for the league were slightly disappointing in quality as the race recording software (Bandicam) dropped the fps down to 48-52 fps while recording, so I thought I would upgrade the graphics processer in my computer. I bought an Nvidia GTX 950 card. The graphics are now stunning.
With the new graphics card working fine, I turned on realistic weather and was amazed at what I could see in races. I recorded a wet weather race which had amazing lightning strikes in the background. Check out the last furlong weather in the race below.
Some of you with high-end graphics may have seen this before, but I thought the effects were great, even though youtube quality does not do it justice,, never mind which horse won the race.
