3 winners for me and a G1 in Each code

De Bulldozer made all in the St James Palace Stakes good ride by the jockey

Sally Army seems to win when she stays upright she has never been beaten when
completing a race she ran out a decent winner of the G1 Tingle Creek her form reads
1,U,1,1,F,1

Flashback Friday was just about at the right weight and won the Betfred Handicap Hurdle

Congratulations to the winners and placers
especially Alan McDonald on the Prince of Wales win is that your 1st G1
thanks to the team
great comms as always

Nebraskan Lear Spear - Ran a cracker in the Prince of wales Stakes, so very close to my 1st group 1, just ran out of steam at the end, very good 2nd though

Nebraskan Pepper N Salt - Credible run in 4th, needs slightly further than this, will be a player in 1m1 races though

Post Re: Weekly Reaction
Week 6 - Monday

Flat

Solent Green - 7th Not G1 class, just wanted a day out at Ascot.

Closing Gap - 15th or not closing the gap at all, though I suspect his bolting on the way to the post did for him before it began.

Podgies Boy - 3rd continues to stay all day, but his pace, well he does not really have any pace.

Love Nor Money - 10th Wide run did not aid her cause, but she is not star so I doubt it mattered

Fine Puzzle - 10th never going to feature in a G3

Hugh Jengine - 16th Poor run in what is arguably his ability group, bit of a head scratcher.

High Tide - 3rd settled at the back early and finished with a real flourish, but had left herself an awful lot to do.

Jump

Dominion of Saints - 3rd G1. Good run in this class, closed nicely at the finish but set off too late to really threaten in this company.

Slim Chance - 1st really fancied his chances, given he was favourably weighted, did not disappoint. Stalked the filed from last until 5f out and turned on the jets, nearly ran out of puff, but fantastic to watch.

Kiss My Tail - 6th Naive run on her debute, though in what is arguably a strong field with some new entries who look decent. Ran last and challenged wide, making it hard for herself when she did have a run at the end. More to come I think

Emergence - 3rd G1 - Another good run from this perpetual bridesmaid, always consistent and in the money. Was a little snatchy today and took it on at 2f, but got swallowed up by better horses on the day. Think he'll find the winners enclosure eventually.

Chess - 4th G1 - Decent enough run, was right in the mix, before running wide at the last bend and sheding a load of ground, also seemed to lose her action a little, rallied back at the death but her chance was gone, and Sally Army is an awfully good horse.

Eye of the Storm - 11th Ran as she should and I cannot really find fault, challenged at 2f but faded badly and somewhat uncharacteristically, I assume under the weight, somewhat disappointing

Xternal - 17th Still recovering from his win in the eyes of the handicapper, but still ran well below his ability today, was a little snatchy also. Poor showing

Great White Hope - 1st Much like last week, he stayed in touch, then closed in and out stayed the leaders, with a little extra turn of foot to just sneak up. Expect the handicappper will now get him, so will look to graded races. But delighted with him regardless.

The Estate - 4th this was a weird one, and I am not sure why it was not re-run given at least three or four horses had a spell when they did not jump anything (can they fall and stumble during that obvious glitch I wonder?) and I noted this inclued both the 1st and 2nd horses, though from top trainers yards so may not have altered anything. Not such an issue for me as he was simply not good enough, but odd and screwy in equal measure. I'd be disappointed if Vroom Vroom King was my horse.

National Sensation - 2nd Ran really well, staying strongly whilst giving away a lot of weight and very nearly got up at the end. Likely to carry a heavy burden in the national at this rate, though he is overdue a couple of falls. :)

Post Re: Weekly Reaction
Possibly the best day ever for my flat horses.

Lochsong 1st, what a star she's become. Blast of and hold on. She is only the second flat horse with Allegretto to win 4 races on the trot.

Shinko Dancer 1st, possibly the most talented 2yo I've ever bred. Will she be classed in the same bracket as the Mighty Warrior Queen who won 3 Group 1's in So5.

Persian Heights 5th, Just not good enough. Will struggle to win a race.

Most Welcome 1st, the biggest surprise of my team because he's not even a Ghostzapper Stables horse. Some horses are just a league horse and he's one, not the most talented just suited to the League.

Tedburrow 1st, Can I have this jockey next time because instead of trying to lead he held a bit back for the end.

A mixed day for my jumpers but Redundant Pal won the Fighting Fifth Hurdle after a terrible blunder and could be my Champion Hurdle horse.

3 winners today

Incredible debut from Briefcase Full Of Dollars who made all in the King Edward VII Stakes
G2 thought the trip would be too short for my Leger horse but did it very well hopes are high for the
future

Wolfetone won well over a trip that was way too short for him he really does looks a class act

Bazzaglliho Got back to winning ways in the Paddy Power Dial a bet Chase G1 what a brave run from
him he made all and had to show alot of guts to hold off challengers but went away at the end great
to have him back in form.

Congrats to the winners and placers
great comms as always
thanks to the team

Press Release from Curragh View Stables

After a long meeting with owners and staff last night the decision has been made to
relieve Jockey Felix De Giles from his job as our stable jockey. We felt his
position had become untenable after his truly awful pathetic jockymanship aboard
our horse John The Baptist.

Never in all of our years involved in racing have we seen a more diabolical performance
by a Jockey Felix had the race won and decided to stop riding the horse in the
final furlong of the race costing connections a win in the race We as a team felt
this was unforgivable we felt after this there was no other way forward.

Felix is bitterly disappointed by his actions but that is little consolation or comfort
to the owners (or their wallets) who had a backed the horse off the boards the horse was
also tipped up on The National Hunt Review show as a improver infact Gray told viewers he would
have a good chance of winning next time out the horse was backed like defeat was out of the
question only for his jockey to make a complete mess of a very well laid plan.

We wish Felix well in the future but have now cut all ties with the Jockey.
There is more chance of Elvis Prestley having a comeback world tour
then him ever being on one of our horses again.

Week 6 - Tuesday

Flat

Breaking Glass - 12th never really got himself into contention

Rescue Diver - 5th decent enough debute, never really threatened though

Baba Hari - 8th outpaced at the finish, not the worst debute

Prohibition Almighty - 6th was hampered and a bit snatchy, but given the class here not actually a bad run.

Jumps

Coconut Shy - 13th Just here for a chase mark, back to hurdles methinks

The Ghost - 3rd Came from a fair way back, solid run.

The Mentalist - Fell

Trashman - 6th Looked really good at 2f and on for a two horse finish, but faded badly, I assume done for pace......

Grey Estate - 6th long way back and well off the pace

Affairs of State - 10th top weight is always a killer

The Tortoise - Pulled Up

Leaving Las Vegas - 1st I am less convinced this is a jockey error as much as it is a very tired horse than the commentator it seems, felix looked around likely as he knew the tank was empty. There is a split second where he sits up, but the horses speed fell away anyway and he did not seem to stop riding, he also beat the heck out of it on the run in..........Leaving Las Vegas just stayed better in my opinion, best get some more of those envelopes ready...........

Battleship - 4th Good performance, stayed well and in a class well ahead of his own abilities. Nice run.

Josh
