Post Handicap Question
Have two horses who have mostly been running at 3m, chase and hurdle respectively, they are handicapped presently at 3f from the distance presently.

I have this week entered both into different G1 2.4f races. What I want to know is if they finish well how will this effect their considered best distance performances for future handicaps?

Horses can run in handicaps 3f either side of their best run so if your horses run well and achieve best finishing positions they will be eligible for hcaps 3f either side of 2m4f.

There is a grey area here as well that could do with being addressed for next season and that is what happens if your horses equal their best finishing positions. They could be eligible for handicaps from 2m1f up to 3m3f.

Post Re: Handicap Question
I was talking to john as he had a Question for me about a horse running over 2m 5f then dropping down in distance I think a horse at the start of the season in the 2 run rules I think we should add that a horse can't run its second run 2f more or less then its Debut run.
