You had to run that horse in that race? I seem to remember long ago maybe in last season a pledge to keep your group winning gorillas out of listed races. Excuse me. Have a look at when he won those races, it was last year and has zero wins this year. Have a look at all my runners for the last 2 seasons over 500 runs over jumps/flatand see if u can find another one. Because I've got Lochsong and she keeps on winning she's had to keep on running and so I've had no races for Keen Hunter to run in and I wanted Keen Hunter to try to another group 1 before the end of the season and I needed to see if it was still worth it or to keep putting lochsong in but as he won he can run this week in the breeders cup.

Oh please. IMO you should have kept Keen Hunter in Group races. You win well over 50% of your races and most of them at the highest levels. The rest of us savor a chance at running and maybe winning in listed races because most times the top trainers are in the group races instead. Think about the other trainers too please? Two thirds in group races. Oh no.

 Re: Weekly Reaction
A good week so far, well second day anyway: A minor win in a 6 furlong handicap on the flat. A big win in a 2 mile handicap hurdle at Aintree with Baralinka King although it did prove how useless I am as a trainer! I started him over 2m 3f, convinced that he was a 2 1/2 mile horse, and continued to run over that distance. dropped him to 2 miles the last 2 weeks and he produced much his best form. Really chuffed with my National runner Okafranca finishing 5th. Was 15lbs out of the handicap, the only one of the pacesetters to be there at the finish and I believe the highest placed gamebred, just a shame he clattered the second last. Huge congratulations to James and it was a really exciting race. The live stream is also brilliant, when I'm allowed out to play .

 Re: Weekly Reaction
Easy answer. Sit on your horse. Retire your horse maybe? Don't enter him in a listed race . Give the other trainers some shot at first money. Do the right thing for the league. Are you unaware of the talent level of your horses? Your worst horses destroy even the best upper middle class horses.
Why would I look through your horses? I'm only talking about Keen Hunter and was mighty disheartened when I got around to handicapping the race to see a 4 time group 1 winner dispatch a PJ horse and a Rann horse carrying highweight in a....listed race. Oh, those other two trainers horses have been losing to your charges all year long. They deserved the win money.
Rant ended.

 Re: Weekly Reaction
I Didnt feel good running Kentucky Lightening but thought id run him as he was a Maiden I like to try and get a win into all my horses before the end of the season. Kentucky Lightening has placed in 4 G1s even though he is a maiden.
At the end of the day anyone is entitled to run their horses as they please as long as its with in the rules I can very much appreciate both points of view

Rant ended. So u telling me I shouldn't enter any older horses in my team, there were a load of 3yo's in that race and they have a massive advantage over ( New) older horses, but they have a even a greater advantage over ( Real Older) older horses, my horse was born on the 25 February 2016. So I got another example for u and u tell me what I should do, I'm thinking about bringing Present Abbey back next season but she's already a group1 winner and is rated 160 ( so no h'caps), she has only 2 races she can run in a Group3 and a Group1. So u saying I should bring her back for 1 race then and I shouldn't run in the group3.

Surely Keen Hunter should of been carrying a G1 Win penalty?

It's a flaw ( there's a few) in the racekit, it also doesn't penalize novice winners or bumper winners so u can run in a lot without getting penalized unlike real life where u do . The racekit doesn't take in last years results.

 Re: Weekly Reaction
I am not sure I like conversations where one trainer is guilt tripping another to sit out races, that's not the solution to spreading out the wins, group and listed in my view are wins that need to be earned not given. More lower tier handicaps graded (group?) handicaps or indeed simply more races, so we do not diminish the group schedule, is.
But you will never please everyone no matter what is done. Let's not finish the season on a sour note hey?

 Re: Weekly Reaction
John can run his horse/horses where he wants because he's top of the pile doesn't mean he can't run horse/horses in any race he likes every trainer can run their horses where they want we don't stop the bottom trainer putting his 70 rated horse into Group/Listed race if we did stop trainers what next? Take week 13 Grade 1 Handicaps are we to stop John, Paul, Thunderspark, Stephen rann running horses in them No we should not.
We try and cater for every trainer the solution is Max rating For Listed races and Min Rated say Min Rate 90 Max 110 but that would in itself cause a problem to rewrite Tom the only solution is not to have listed Races and turn them into 0-110 Handicaps.
