 Race runners for Australian races
Hi all - just wondering if it is possible for who ever is running the Aussie races if they can change them from furlongs to metres? Be a nice touch Doug

Re: Race runners for Australian races
The is a chance that I will be running some of Wednesdays races at Flemington.
I just did a quick conversion and the distance in furlongs is not quite an exact match for the distances in metres.
The Melbourne Cup is listed as 2 miles which is 3218 metres. The race would have to be run over 3200 metres.
Is there any objections to a slightly shorter race?
The same distance adjustments woild have to be made for the other Australian races.

The left button goes to the races, the right button quits from game. When you select the middle button there is an option to change to metres. This is a distance conversion table. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=furlo ... 8geQ-ZfYCQ

I always thought it was 200 metres to a furlong not 201.168 Plus u cant have 1m5.5F it would have to be run over1m6.

According to the conversion tool mentioned above, 1m 5.5f is approx 2700 metres, so set the race as a 2600m race and select the 1\2 option next to the distance indicator. This gives you 2700m.

I thought 200m was 1 furlong as well. They still say the Melb Cup is 2 miles - I guess they just over look the extra few metres lol Anyway if you can both convert to metres that would be cool
