Post Re: Team for next season
All my horses are now uploaded and entered into races.

On average my flat horses are about 5 lengths faster than last seasons horses, but that doesn't mean much as last seasons flat team could barely win a 0-85 handicap.

Only time will tell with my jumps team. On the whole they are slightly better than last seasons horses, but not as much as I was hoping for.

Since I expect every trainer to have improved, I don't think I will get the 35 NH winners I had last season, but I am hoping to beat the 8 flat winners I had last season.

The big disappointment was I couldn't breed anything that would stay 4 miles. I have left one space in the NH team to see if I can find a long distance horse to upload after week 5.

I can barely wait until Monday to see how my horses are going to do.

Best of luck to everyone.

I think my Flat team is about the Same level if not inferior I have not done that much breeding hence I have returning horses in the jumps so I will struggle to win has many has last season with building South African Courses Kranji and redoing and Upgrading the Irish courses which I enjoy more than playing the game to breed for the League I think I am getting bored like Peter Cahill trying to compete with the likes of Paul Hence my Retirement is not far away

Post Re: Team for next season
Hola....

Well managed to put a small flat team in so far, time constraints has not enabled to do much more, and a couple returning.

Will try and throw what I have into the NH tomorrow, but will be a fair few returning from last year just purely to make up numbers.

So I guess I will be more than less the same as last year over the first 5 weeks, but I have some time now, so will increase both stables come the upload window.

Good luck all.....

Perhaps stop posting all the über monsters paul it's mostly soul destroying to see how far behind you are from them, as it was when thunder did last season. Maybe why your called out? Though I am sure your not alone in having them.

Anyway final group of nags are in after a little tweaking. Best practise a race run now :)

My flat team will have the same ability as last year, spent no time on them. Will be interesting to see how my 2yo Johanesberg gets on because even though I found a full 2yo I could only get him a full bar.

My hurdlers will have roughly the same ability and will be interesting to see how my chasers get on because they are the only horses that have improved since last season.

Funny i get loads of requests from people to share my horses both publicly and privately

sometimes you just cant win but If I have been called out for doing something like that I will live it with no problem
id rather be called out for being generous than being called out for hiding everything i do and just turn up every season
in the league without helping others i started at the back too.

Steve Shared his Epsom beast a filly 2 years ago i never beat at the start i was 15 lengths behind her i did not find it
soul destroying i found it a challenge and actually it kept me interested in the game for a long time i never
beat her over 5 trials but i never threw the towel in either guess we are all different if it was not for that horse
i would have probably quit the game & League ages ago was a challenge i never met but helped me greatly.

both my teams uploaded and entered only really worked on sprinters in the flat using some of pauls to trial against has helped me with them and managed to beat them occasionally. It was an area i have never been any better than handicaps in so hopefully will now be able to compete in a few group races with them.

changed my jumps horses completely but didnt really bother trialling that much with them so dont know if they will be better than last years.

bought back last years national winner for another go at it, how many runs do i need to get it before the national as its a returning horse?

Its already had 3 runs m8 so you don't need t0 run again until the National its got a handicap Mark from Last Season.

Think it is more time required than challenge presented, this team for me will likely be the last I really have time to work on, any future leagues will involve a lot less work.

When start's orders 7 come out I'll just be a jumps trainer, that's why my flat team is in semi retirement now.

Post Re: Team for next season
What a wonderful day to have a complete computer crash/malfunction and lose all of my horse files!!!
Thankfully the game (minus my best save) survived along with the game pool so I have had a frantic evening trying to cobble a team together (some of the jumps team will be pants, even by my standards).
The wife has been extremely understanding although I expect there will be some making up to do this weekend :).
I am aiming to get something group placed on the flat this year, most of them are handicappers but one or two are better than usual for me, bar the crash I might have had a few competitive.
Most of the jumps team are very ordinary but I will be very competitive in the Grand National.
Darren

P.S. I am one short in my jumps team because it would not let me upload one horse. "Laterly" ran in season 1 as a 9yo and I tried to upload him as an 11yo but I keep getting the message "already uploaded">
