 Re: Weekly Reaction
Good opening day from my lot with 4 wins over both codes.
Flat
Touch of Class - 1st - Finally shown some but in a 0-90 handicap, bout the best he has to offer.
The Beasts Arrived - 5th - Back to Earth after last weeks G1 win, got caught napping today and never able to recover.
Tarasque - 7th - Ran wide which never helps, could not make an impression and will look for form in the handicaps now.
Chain of Causation - 2nd - Fancied her for this, and gave a good account despite a wide run, simply could not overhaul ‘Escolade’ Could face the chop in the window.
Shade - 5th - Out of his depth really in G1 class, is a handicapper, looked interesting for a spell but faded, may not survive to week 6.
Colour of Money - 4th - Very competitive oaks this with little to split the top four, one of my 3yo’s who will be around next week.
Fusion of Monsters - 6th - Been average all season, very high on the cut list right now.
Fine on Paper - 4th - Impresses by this showing as she is no G2 horse, solid run but still needs a lower class of race.
Werewolf of London - 1st - Great run under G1 penalty weight, if he front runs he wins. Class performance in this G3 field.
Jump
Sky High - 1st - Back to back wins for my top novice chaser now, form looks good with the Arkle still the target.
Shesa Animal - 4th - Still not seen the best of her and some slow jumping cost her a better finish today. She’ll survive to the tingle creek, but I may look for better in the window.
Fallen Shamrock - 1st - Was very confident going into this, had a nice mark and has yet to show her form of home, two G1 hurdles next week, she’ll be in one of them.
Pursuit of Magic - 2nd - Better run today, but for a really slow last jump he could have thrown down a challenge, ran home well.
The Irish Connection - 7th - Horrible run and ride, always struggles when she does not dictate the pace, likely her last NHF this year, back to hurdles, one of her offspring will likely come in for NHF.
Kingdom of Beasts - 2nd - I despair with this chap, three 2nd places now and a 3rd, just cannot seem to get it right on the day, set off about 1f to early, and was run down at the death.
Eight to Lose - Fell - 5 races, three falls, jumps like a stag at home. My 3m chasers are dreadful this year.
Fatal Moonshine - Fell - Not unexpected from a hurdle horse trying his hand at fences.
Kingdom of Purgatory - 6th - If anyone has seen my horse ‘Kingdom of Purgatory’, the one who stormed home in his maiden, can you report it to the relevant authorities. Not sure where this donkey came from. Needs a handicap mark to work with and find some form and confidence.

 Re: Weekly Reaction
amazing start to the week 4 winners including 2 G1s,the oaks and the derby were great races where u could have thrown a blanket over the first4 home.
R5-Correlation 2nd ran well without looking like winning
R6-Galactico 1st beat a good field from the front great 1st run
R7-Escolade 1st ran a stinker on 1st run ran off a good mark here
R8-Sum of all parts 1st front running beast when he puts it together
R9 The Oaks-Digging for gold 2nd just found wanting at the business end though was a great race well done jim
R10 The derby-Twisted logic 1st another outstanding race where 4 horses were locked together 2 out luckily my fellow stuck his neck out on the line (ive been breeding giraffe lines) comiserations to 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th on another day could have been a different story
R11-Hangover big ol coconut trainers an idiot thats all i can say about him great run from Lochsong though
many thanks to stu for not tipping any of my horses and to lucky doug for tipping twisted logic
just cant believe how well my stables doing was sure there wasnt a G1 winner im there many thanks to all involved
congrats all runners

 Re: Weekly Reaction
A very good day for the stable with a total of 4 winners over both codes.
Flat
The highlight of the day had to be Indian Star Girl who won the Oaks just getting up in the final few yards. I was only expecting her to place, I thought Steve and Pauls horses would be too strong for her. Pauls horse was unlucky to get boxed in.
Honourable mentions must go to Sherrif Star Boy in the Derby and Jester Star Boy in the Coronation Cup. Steve's horses were just too strong and ran great races to win.
Jumps
3 winners over the jumps today.
Imperial Vale Boy continued to show his good form by winning the G2 Ascot Hurdle. He left it until the final few furlongs to make his move but when he made the move, it was impressive, eventually running out a comfortable winner.
Police Vale Boy won the Hyde Novices Hurdle. He didn't show any great form in his previous runs but he may just have saved himself from a week 5 retirement with this run.
North Bridge Boy won the Newton Novices Hurdle. He set the early pace but when Josh's horse sailed past him with 2f to go I thought he had paid the price for setting the early pace. I couldn't believe it when he found a second wind in the last half furlong to get up on the line.
Well done to all the winners and placers, especially Steve with his 4 winners and Lochsong, the old maid of the sprinters. Thank for the great comms guys and Stu, I forgive you for tipping my horse in the Derby.
On the preview show the guys were saying how disapointed they were with the Derby field. I think there are two reasons for this. Firstly the AJC Oaks and AJc Derby were run in the same week and secondly, I think many trainers were like me, I only uploaded one filly and one colt that runs over 1m 4f.
My horses tend to be specialised for a specific distance, I had the Dante winner, but he is a 1m 2f horse and he wouldn't stay the 1m 4f of the Derby. My filly and colt who run over 1m 2f were entered in races 21 and 22, both G1 races over 1m 2f.
I think the schedule needs tweaking a little because for my Derby and Oaks horses there was only a race in week 1 and a race in week 4 that was suitable for my two horses yet in week 5, there was two races that were sutable for my horses, the Investec Oaks and Derby, and the AJC Oaks and Derby. To be honest, it was a fifty-fifty choice as to what races to enter them in.
On the bright side, both the Oaks and the Derby produced a couple of exciting finishes.

FAO Stu!
Just seen your comments about Mansell Lacy in the Whitsun Cup mate. He's been found out by the handicapper now because somehow he finished last season off 50 and was well in.
However, he'll enjoy the step back in trip.
Bring the grudge match on! To be honest you should easily turn the tables though
Best of luck

 Re: Weekly Reaction
One winner on the flat today, but it was a G1 winner and one winner over fences in a handicap race.
Most of the rest of my horses were quite poor, although there was one or two minor placers.
Congtrats to all winners and placers.

 Re: Weekly Reaction
Another really good day from my lot with 4 winners again over both codes, so nearly a red letter day. Flat Rainbow - 1st - Timed her run to perfection for her second win in a row. Not likely to sneak into anymore handicaps though, will survive the cut window and looks to the St Ledger. Run you Down - 5th - Poor run and ride, taken wide for much of the race and never recovered, stupid jockey. Cometh the Beast - 3rd - Gave a decent account of herself, better at 1m if she can find a race. Deadly Drop Bear - 1st - Well b*gger me with a feather, not in a million years did I figure he was G1 class, yes I trialled on this track specifically for this race but he has been average thus far. Cannot cut him now and I had been planning too. Takes me to four G1’s this year, beating last so mission accomplished. Fusion - 7th - Seemed to forget he is a front runner today, but was always going to be 1 or 2f too short. New Jack City - 4th - O Dear, you stupid little twat, what were you thinking running him in the leading group. Never seen anything like it at trial. Likes to trot round last and challenge late, idiot passenger. Jump Legal Framework - 3rd - As predicted in comments, top heavy at top weight but ran on gamely, real trier this girl. Hexbag - 2nd - Another giving weight away for a graded win, so a decent showing no complaints. Messy Conclusion - 2nd - No complaints here either other than John’s horse did not take a tumble. In Nomine Padre - 2nd - Second again, FU second. Slower at the jumps than ‘In Cahoots’ told in the finish today. Ever Seen the Rain - 8th - Top weight too much to ask for. Ground Pounder - 3rd - Tight finish, could have gone either way so no complaints with this performance. Snowstorm - 3rd - Cannot give a Rhodes horse that much weight and compete so happy enough with his efforts today. The Show - 2nd - Ok at this stage I am fecked off with sodding seconds. Cannot seem to get a break this chap. G1 win will come I hope. Law of Consequence - 1st - G1 winner last season and now this for my returning star, Ryanair will be her destination at Cheltenham see if she cannot go one better this year. Delighted with my first jump G1 this year. Gathering Pace - 1st - Stays all day, decent weights today, needs to give me a performance in graded company. Good run. Snails Pace - 8th - Not really a 4m horse, just about stays, never able to challenge today, will drop distance now until the National. Unto the Breach - 2nd - Seriously sod off with your seconds. Probably not enough to save her from the cut, one of only a few changes planned for my jumps team. Congrats to the other winners and placers. Josh

 Re: Weekly Reaction
A Pretty Dier week for my flat team one that hurt the most was We Built This City in the Oaks but have to take it on the chin and move on ended the week with 2 flat winners and 3 jumps winners.
Offshore Finally got of the mark in the Investec Woodcote Stakes onto the Albany Stakes next.
Jackanowsky His second win from 3 starts and now a listed winner after winning the Welsh St Leger He is a 2 miler so did well to win at 1m5 id say the Queens Vase could be next for him.
James Cook Smartly won the Hennessy at a trip that should have been 3 furlongs too short for him no doubt this will be the highlight of his career will do well to win again.
Monsarat another one to get off the mark this week winning the EBFTA Mares Chase G3 which is not bad considering she is my number 3 2m4 hurdler a nice surprise to say the least.
Sir Lancelot One with very patchy form and glad to get a win into him another who may struggle to win after winning the Starters Orders 6 Hurdle Qualifier Leg 4.
Half Term Report

So 36 individual winners from my 2 teams with 19 who remain winless
Congratulations to the winners and placers.
Sorry i missed all the live streams this week i had family come over for a visit and we did alot of touring but i did watch every single preview show which were excellent as always and of course watched every replay.
Huge thanks to the team
Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy & Healthy New year.
