Post SO 4 my story
I think i was 16 or so, not quite sure. I bought a game for my commodore amiga called stable masters.

Here i am 36 years old, wife, 3 kids, and 3 cats, having bought every single version of that game that Mark created nearly 20 years ago.

Every version has improved. If I remember rightly it used to be 3 races a day in Stable Masters. Here we are now, Multiple meetings a day, Multiple country choices, flat or jumps, breeding. I could go on all day about the development. There has been massive evolution with this game and i estimate it has cost me just short of £100. The ammount of hours and enjoyment i have got from all the different versions of the game over the years equates, to one of the best investments i have ever made!!!

I am currently playing the NH game in England. It seems incredibly hard to make ends meet as i am sure it is in real life for trainers. I have had 2 very frustrating crashes but i should have saved earlier rather than having ' just one more race' 30 times.

Anyway, just my little bit and a tribute to Mark. £100 for 20 years enjoyment seems a pittance to what must be a lifetimes work. I salute you Mark.

Post Age is no barrier
Hi guys and girls. Good to see the forum so busy with the new edition. Well I'm 60 (on Saturday) - share birthdate, not year, with Gay Kelleway, and I've played all the versions of Stable Masters, Starters Orders and loved it - when younger we had to put with Totopoly! My that was fun. Anyone older than me out there? I spend hours on the game, though not every day. It is just brilliant although the snags are 'annoying'. Know will all be sorted.

I completely echo the sentiments of the original poster.

BTW I'm 49 and still sulk when I lose the Derby by short head or when that potentially gifted miler turns out to be a 7 furlong horse.

Regards

Patrick
