 Re: Weekly Reaction
It's only fair, the first two weeks were for the big boys and this week is for the middle trainers.

 Re: Weekly Reaction
I always double check my entries on Friday morning but pretty sure only 16 races were available to m this week
It's not a complaint I was just very curious to see how the races split between top and lower tiers
It's virtually impossible to keep races down to under 40 and have something for every horse in your squad its also realistic not every real life horse runs every month which is around a game week .

 Re: Weekly Reaction
The lower and mid tier have up to 38 Paul based on available races, unless they are rated out of the top ones.

Very True horse management is very very important though anything rated 0-95 if entered in a G1 may ruin there chances of winning several handicap races maybe even G1 handicaps

 Re: Weekly Reaction
I can get 18 in on flat, though some are running outside their best distance so have limited chances. Maybe 15 in the right sort of race. I generally tend to think there should never be less graded and listed etc than handicaps, though I am aware that though I can only get in 18 least half that number maybe have a realistic chance of a win. So even though a low to mid tier trainer may get in 25, I doubt they have the same level of competitiveness. This is I think what the changes are aiming to help, more wins for those who do not get so many, likely a good thing.

 Re: Weekly Reaction
I am a mid Tier Trainer and can do both enter group and low handicaps if you get 16 out of a top Stable in one week I think that is pretty good because you will have horses that are not going to be scrapping at the 0-90 below Handicaps. While the lower tier trainer might get to run more horses they are unlikely to be competitive in group races Double entries are now being used and in the future more might be used. Paul when you Trial your final 10 horses for 1milers perhaps take the best and worst and cover all bases top end and bottom end . Gray

 Re: Weekly Reaction
I have 18 in for wk3 on the flat and 27 in NH. It was easier to enter more the last seasons when my horses were lower rated. Maybe don't scratch your worst horses after week 5 so maybe they have the highest handicap range and you get more runs then bringing in more Group ability horses.
The other way would be more races, but this would be only possible when there are 50-100 trainers participating in the league which would mean there are more people for race running etc.
Mark should promote the online league a little bit more inside the game, a dream would be an online league where you could enter your horses while playing the game, but maybe this will happen SO10...

And how many of those races can the lower and mid tier trainers realistcally win or finish top five? Yeah, maybe about 18 of them. How many Group races can those low to mid trainers win or finish top five? Buckleys! So tell me Josh, how many Group races are there this week where you can't finish top five? Are you playing this game for larks or are you playing to win? Maybe at the end of last season when some people where calling for more double entries or to make every race double entry, you should have added your voice so the chorus was stronger!

 Re: Weekly Reaction
I have 18 out of 25 horses in flat races and all 30 of my NH horses in races this week with about 85% in both codes running in appropriate races.
My flat horses are mostly running in group races but about half my NH are running in handicaps.
I reckon even 15 of 25 in the flat is a good percentage and maybe 22 from 30 in the NH is a good percentage.

 Re: Weekly Reaction
I managed to squeeze in 20 of my flat horses. The area that took the hit was my 101 - 105 rated. 3/4 of my stable are currently rated at over 100. I reckon its a good draw!

 Re: Weekly Reaction
I mentioned this last year, if players take their stables, to a G1 level and have more or less nothing between them, then that is their issue, you all know there is going to be handicaps, so you are either a league trainer who wants to compete at lower levels or you want to compete at G level, take your pick, but do not expect the players who choose not to follow certain breeding cycles to be persecuted by having less races for the ones who do, the game is for every one, not just for those who are desperate to be at the top of the win table all the time.
Always the same, you elites, expect the league to be geared around you.... WHY ?
If you want to spend hours and hours cycling through seasons and re-breeding one with the other (clones we call them!) then that is your choice, but FFS do not go on about, "I can only enter x amount of races this week" or " I can only win this many"

 Re: Weekly Reaction
i think top tier trainers have to realise that once you're there you have to understand that runs are limited its the price you pay i realised this when i clawed my way in with my army of clones (sorry stu couldn't resist) the original league rules were a horse could only run 8 times a season with a stable of 20 i think the current schedule is more than fair to all trainers of all levels.the lower mid tier races are vital for attracting more players to the league as surely this is the ultimate goal.
ive been in the bracket 100/110/listed and its very tough but at least it means your horses are improving
