I think 2yo are totally different to 3+ horses. This horse doesn't have great bars but is by a top class 2yo gamebreed sire and apart from getting caught wide on my tight US tracks would have gone unbeaten but i dont think will be that good at 3.

Did you try it over 7f? The stamina bar looked like it was nudging 7f.

pjrhodes1970 wrote: i never ever look at CB it does nothing for you and annoyingly breeds out after a few gens So far I haven't bred enough decent horses to export to the CK to tell if CB helps in SO7 but my horses definately ran better in SO6 with a high CB. I agree about CB breeding out in SO7. All the other bars can be passed on OK but for some reason I can breed 50 foals with high CB in a season and only about 3 seem to pass on the CB. About 10 of the 50 foals pass on the potential and extra speed bars OK.

I have tried my 2yo horse over every distance from 5f to 10f just to see if the stamina bar was maybe giving the wrong info at 2yo. The reason I did this was every 2yo I breed no matter it's distance when it matures seems to have a stamina bar for a sprinter. The stamina bar will often jump from 10% as a 2yo to 60%-80% when a horse turns 3yo. I know that AI horses seem to perform better than their bars would suggest but I have bought 40% potential horses at auction that have won 2yo group races that have beaten my 90% potential horses. There must be some hidden stats that affect 2yo perfrmance.

Amazing what an extra furlong can do to some horses - although some horses seem to have it all but for whatever reason they just fail to perform.

Doug I tried everything, he was just a top class 2yo but what I love about this game is the progression angle because one of the sires sons went to stud and luckily I gave him 10 of my best mares and he is much better horse who sadly left the game after 2 seasons at stud. Love playing this game without the need to play for the league.

I've had one horse manage a 140 so far.... the "trick" seemed to be to run them in G1s that are close together (like 5-7 days apart).

Can anybody help me, I have been playing over 20 seasons now and am having problems breeding top horses, my method for breeding is to buy top rated mares out of group 1 winners by group 1 winners and and breeding with the best sires but keep coming up with average horses, don’t get me wrong I love how much harder the breeding side is in SO7 but it is frustrating the hell out of me. Is there any tips anybody could give me or have just got to keep persevering.
