My 2yo horses have not improved at all, indeed they are worse than the last league season. This chap failed to make the grade last term which underlines the point.

Race 3 - 1Mile 2yo -FLAT

Zulu Trooper

Newly breed 1m sort who only really makes the grade at 2yo and I already know my 2yo’s have degraded. Just want to see by how much.

Race 5 - 2Mile 4F 4UP -FLAT

Mallee Bull

Newly breed pure 2.4m stayer, dominate in trials and has a number of good/better offspring to his name now.

Race 7 - 6Fur 4UP -FLAT

When I say my 2yo have not improved what I mean is my flat team has not improved. A 3yo last season, did little to catch the eye.

Race 8 - 1Mile 3YO-FLAT

My 3yo horses actually look ok, this lad maybe interesting as a group level challenger, will see how he does in this.

Not so long ago was my new star 2m hurdler, he has fallen down the order a little since and is out of the breed barn as he is a firm ground horse, but still hangs about on the trial sheet and would make the team today.

Cannot improve my 3m chasers for love nor money or luck, lack thereof……………won a single race last term, doubt the older version is any better.

Race 6 - 3Mile Hurdle

I have a few better kicking around now but the margins are very small, was a league disappointment last time out, expect more of the same.

Race 10 - 2Mile 4F Chase

Daughter of last years league horse ‘The Machine’ she is a little bit better but not by much, would make the team at this stage.

Still likely to return, but not my top 2m chaser any longer, seems to be about as good as a 9yo.
