				  Upload window

So after this weeks races, are we breaking until after Christmas? Will the retire and upload window remain open during the period and when is the week six/upload cut off?

Been having a look at the schedules and have a question for those, like me, considering joining after the mid season break. If there are no maiden races available for my chosen age & distance what should I do? I'm guessing I just have to throw the horses into a Group race in order that they can obtain a handicap rating but I'd appreciate clarification. Thanks

Put them in the closest maiden there is unless you know they are group class, otherwise the handicap is likely to reflect a group entry and in one race you can write your horse off for the season. Careful entry is key to this league. Bad entry will make the learning process more painful.

Check the week following also to see if there is something more suitable there.

So, my crop of 2YO 5f horses are best kept for next season I guess I will get to work on coming up with some 2YO milers

One colt and one filly at 5f for 2yo is the max you would need. You can go group but you may find they are rated out of the handicaps it is hard to judge really as you don’t have horses running already. You can run horses 2f either side of their best distance in the handicaps so an entry up to 7f for a mark. And better to get a yardstick this season and learn what you can than put it all in next.
