Re: Season 16 Trainers Post Race Discussion and Thoughts
Martin - I didn't have much in the way of marathon horses this season due to starting a new bunch of horses after not playing the game that much. Still I like it and when the mood hits I'll put in some seasons.
I do like listening to your dread and anguish when you see '2m 4f' on the title. The long slog through the race that offers opportunities for your fireside chats. Or just babbling - a three horse race can make you do that. I was under the understanding these cheap super long marathons were going to be culled from the schedule this season so I didn't bother gathering those types of horses. Wish I did. I'd have a lot more wins this year.

What a race the National was and a great call from Martin. Congratulations to the winner and place getters. Probably hollow congrats for Josh, but a truly remarkable effort for the two top weights to come in 3rd and 4th.
As for my form guide...well I wasn't far off the mark with three of the first four - putting a bit of pressure on myself for the next one I do!

Never won the National in all the years I have been in the League so very happy with Frozen Hope but I do think Josh's horses are far far better but obviously the handicap helps! Great comms from Martin and over the moon with the win. Thanks to all involved and I will try and get on here more often, work has changed so I have very little spare time at the moment, I barely have enough time to enter my horses each week!! Well done all and thanks again for everyone involved behind the scenes

Great Comms Martin, but the big question was who was ringing u in the other race

Re: Season 16 Trainers Post Race Discussion and Thoughts
Standard week for me, Zoro notches up his 4th win, albeit a dead heat, has turned out to be my star this year and will be rewarded with a trip to the US for the Breeders Cup. Easter Sunday is finally back to some form as well as Druidess. Plenty of smatterings of 3rd and 4th places as usual.
Hopefully may nick one of the A/W finals this week!
Quick note for Dan French on that, George Cross, Gallic Mystery and Blood Orange are not qualified to run in the finals so may want to consider nominations before you get a nasty shock when none of them run!

Five winners on the flat for me this week so very pleased with that. My best return so far. Must be picking the right handicaps to put my horses in!

The canadian international field has to be the worst assembled ever for an unrestricted group 1 surely!!! no disrespect to anybodies entrants but blimey i wouldnt have thought 99 would have been the ceiling mark .....huge race up for grabs for some of us

Re: Season 16 Trainers Post Race Discussion and Thoughts
Hi all, I will be stepping away again from competing in this online league for a while. Was great to be a part of it again. I've had computer issues and as a result I've lost my saved games. I do not have the time nor the desire to start from scratch and do what is required to be competitive in this league.
Thanks for all and for everyone makes this possible. Especially to you Martin, have always enjoyed your comms, and I have missed yourself and Doug and Stu.
Will see you all when S08 is around.
Thanks, Jamie

Re: Season 16 Trainers Post Race Discussion and Thoughts
Sorry to see you go Jamie. I know how tough it is trying to get up to speed from scratch, I'm still trying to do it!
All the best and see you sometime in the future for SO8
