Post NH Season, please i need help
Would someone please tell me how to have some superstars in the NH side of the game???
I have played the flat and smashed it with some horses unbeaten until they retire at about 6 or 7 etc. But my real passion in real life is NH.

However i cant seem to get a real top quality horse in the NH sphere. Please tell me how i go about it. I buy all the best horses in the end of season auction etc. But no matter what i do i cant seem to get a good one that wins the top races. Only had about 3 or 4 horses in a 50 season span or something.

What sort of horse should i look to buy? When do you start racing them (ive tried 3 years old, 4 years old and 5 years old). What route do you go for with each horse???

How come i can smash the flat easily when i know less about it than NH?? Is the NH harder in this game???

ANY help GREATLY appreciated as i am coming to the end of my patience with this game now and i dont want to as i LOVE it really

I find both the flat and jumps are about the same although being jumps your horse will make mistakes which is the reason they seem less likely to win everything it enters i always check the horses jumping ability in the training section and if its agility is good thats the ones i send chasing Dont give up i play Flat/NH Combined although like you i much prefer the jumps.

Thanks for the reply mate. It just seems a bit weird to me. I buy all the best auction horses and breed my good ones but cant seem towin any of the big races. I can win handicaps off a low weight and some juvenile/ novice hurdles but not the bigger ones like the Kennel Gate or the Tolworth or the Persian War etc etc. Just dont know why not because according to my horses attributes they should be very good. What age do you start your NH horses at??? Am i chucjing them in too soon at 3/4 years old season???

The attributes mean nothing. I wouldn't even look at them. Run 3yo's in NHF races. 4yo's in novice hurdles, 5yo's in handicaps, if good enough run in graded races. Run 6yo's in novice chases. 7yo's in handicap chases or graded races if good enough.

If a horse is very good at a young age you could chuck a novice chaser ala Grand Crus in the Gold Cup etc.

Different distances at different ages also help.

2 mile 3yo's - 2 mile races
2 mile 4 3yo's - 2 mile 2f races
3 mile 3yo's - 2 mile 4f races
3 mile 4 3yo's - 2 mile 6f races
4 mile 3yo's - 3 mile races

2 mile 4yo's - 2 mile races
2 mile 4 4yo's - 2 mile 4f races
3 mile 4yo's - 2 mile 6f races
3 mile 4 4yo's - 3 mile races
4 mile 4yo's - 3 mile 4f races

2 mile 5yo's - 2 mile races
2 mile 4 4yo's - 2 mile 4f races
3 mile 5yo's - 3 mile races
3 mile 5 4yo's - 3 mile 4 races
4 mile 5yo's - 4 mile races

etc etc

Thanks very much for the guide my friend. Glad to know i'm not chucking them in too early. I am still a little confused though. Had a horse that won three 2m novice hurdles by a combined 26 lengths. So i put him in the Tolworth as he had earned it. Got tailed off miserably and never won again. How bizarre. But thanks for the help mate
