UK Flat and UK Jumps with afew added Irish races for me will also have a US and Oz game too

The UK flat schedule includes all Irish G1 races, as well as one or two G2s (Derby Trial etc).

The UK jumps schedule includes almost all Irish G1 races and a small number of G2s. However, it only includes a handful of Irish novice races, as there isn't enough Irish novices each season to fill these races, so the Irish novice races tend to fill up with UK horses.

Good stuff mate cannot wait to try them out - think I will go with a combined game aswell!! Nothin better than having a Derby winning, Arc winning, champion hurdler who wins the grand national haha

In the past versions I have only played UK flat, because the number of the horsenames has been too small.
The number of names is now much bigger, but I am afraid that at a combined game the names will repeat too fast.

Big worry of mine too hate when they repeat after 10 seasons

Totally agree, should be 100,000+ horse name database, can't be too difficult to have a horse name generator doing this and putting into the game, but then again I am no computer whizz.

Trouble is that as the game evolves, it not only increases the horse database size, but also increases the number of meetings, races per meeting and field sizes, so that I can see in SO5 that the names repeating will still probably happen after 10 seasons again!

To put it into a crude mathematical formula:-

Total horses in database / (number of races in day x field size) x meetings per season = 10 !!!!

The larger the horse database the better, but the game has to reach a limit in terms of the number of horses racing per day for the repeating names to be more distant. 100,000 seems good to me if this could in some way be automated/self generated - similar to the regens in the FM series.

Yes if we could have 100,000+ horses then I think we could be looking at repeated names between 100 and 200 years time...I think

I think as a minimum, I'd be satisfied if names began to repeat after 25 years plus or so....

Alternatively, if the game was able to randomly generate names for new horses (eg: Gold Star x Little River = Gold River or Super Bob x In Orbit = Super Orbit) then the database could be virtually infinite!

I normally start with the Aussie game first by playing 8 to 10 seasons and then I send my champion bred babies to the UK or to the Jumps combined games.
