Nice to see the huge excitement for this game though - definitely more hotly anticipated than SO4 which just goes to show that the series is going from strength to strength and I think Mark deserves that for all of the effort he puts into the games. Maybe EA sports will be offering him daft money in a few years time haha

The after sales support you get from Mark is far far superior to anything shown by the 'big boys'. Would hate Starters Orders to become part of a big oiled machine of a company, customer service would go out the window. Go look on the F1 2011 website of codemasters to see the comparison. 2 patches, one breaking more than it fixed, and then they go mute waiting to realease 2012. We are extremely well served here thank you

completely agree Neves - my post did not mean to come across as though I want a big boy to buy the series off Mark, quite the opposite. I meant is as in to say Mark has done such a great job that the SO series is growing rapidly and the SO5 release is so eagerly anticipated that I can only imagine what it will be like in years to come!!

Couldn't agree more. I have bought many many games over the years since the original space invaders on the atari game console in about 1980ish. This series has grabbed the most time, by a very long way, of any game I have owned and it doesn't lose its appeal. If a game gets too easy you just start a new career, and, with the inception of the owner game, well, I can't wait to see how that pans out, hopefully a great alternative to the standard game.

the only game which has taken up more of my time is Football Manager or Champ Man as it was back in the day. However once i came across SO4, my first of the series, I have not played Football Manager!!!

Have to agree with you all, although I'm not really a 'gamer' I tend to try to run away on war type games (apparently that isn't the objective of those games) and I have no interest in football so it is a real credit to just how good these games are that I have played them from the start. It's amazing really, when you think how much EA, as an example, expect you to shell out for their games that £20 can get you something you will keep playing and going back to for so long.

I love football but FM12 doesnt and wont get a look in compared to SO5 birthday on friday cant wait for release.
And i think mark as done such a good job with the series and deserves as many sales as possible, i live with my family and my 2 brothers have laptops on the same house but they will be purchasing SO5 seperate to my edition lol even though you can use the same code on more than 1 laptop in 1 household
