Post Re: Owners Mode
Starting to think something is going wrong here just had two horses that both won and have been moved by the owner to a trainer with a :( from me with a :) face anyone else had horses being taken off them for no reason?

Also does Open Days affect the relations with current owners?

I am a 7 star trainer BTW

I have now gone 2 years without any horses :x

I have £25m in the bank, all the upgrades but i am only a 2 star trainer. I also have had 21 career winners from 112 runners which is a decent strike rate.

Just had a horse sent to me at last, the trainers face was already angry and the horse left in 5 days ! not sure what i did wrong, surely the owner should start at neutral ??

Plus i just had a virus but no horses

Still like the idea of the owner mode.

What is your capacity. I think once you get it up to the max (100) it should be 10 star as long as all the rest is upgraded

I have expanded to 100 boxes but still have a one star rating.

I have a 21% strike rate and have had some group winners but have only got 4 horses in 4 seasons. :(

I was blessed enough to have 2 group 1 winners amongst my first set of horses however all the new owners who have sent me horses are absolute donkeys! I also find it so cheeky when an owner sends you a horse who hasnt been running well, then you win a couple of races with it and the owner moves it to a bigger yard! Suppose it's realistic though because i've worked in yards and alot of owners seem to think their horses are alot better than they actually are.

Got a Group 1 winner from my opening 5 horses and still lost a few from the same owner...

That horse has now won 2 G1's (Melbourne Cup and Wellington Cup) but ive picked up horses from 3 other stables and am the Number 1 trainer for one of them (although still waiting to get more horses off him)...

Have a total of 10 horses atm...

Definately think the owner mode is a great addition to a great game, but it definately needs some tweaking (as per the many posts). I think a good idea would be to have the owner that you start with being relatively loyal (there are many in real life) or at least give you an indication as to when their patience is running out.....as in the sense of an e-mail saying "you have one last chance with my nag or else I'm moving it!" and then maybe running a place in the next race it runs in would make the owner keep the horse with you or something.

i couldnt tell you bill, but i purchased it anyways (you never know).

i would love to see a feature where we could 'poach' owners horses from stables that they are not happy with the trainer!
maybe as to offer them a private tour of our own facilities (play on the open day feature).
more i think about it the more i like it

Not a happy trainer I just got a horse to win 3 on the trot and upgraded from 37 to 59 and owner takes it away from me.
Please Mark look into this it is not realistic. The trainer it went to is only better than me on the number of horses he trains.
This situation definitely spoils what is a good game option.

I still enjoy SO4,however this new mode is the main reason that I want to update and buy SO5 the demo plays rather nice
but I fear after reading all of the post that I should wait a bit and see if this mode can be tweaked with a patch. nowing me I will give in and try it anyways I do hope mark looks into this.

Im playing on 1.03, NH trainer only game on easy.

I have not had any new owners in 4 seasons and am down to two horses, which win 2-3 races each year. My trainer stars are 10 and due to boredom have cheated my way to all the facilities. Trainer fees and % of winnings is at the minimum. I have held an Open Day the maximum I can. The only new development is the game now crashes on an Open Day when trying to continue.
