is there any way to make a horse settle better? every race i seem to run it says horse did not settle

tried it but still same results

i always try to avoid gelding horses as this significantly reduces the value......plus for me if it cannot go to breeding then i want no part of it .....at the first sign of a horse not settling then its off to the sales

Cheekpieces are the only other option before the chop 90% doesn't work though.
