 Horse declared then not declared
Another glitch, I can put 2/3 horses into a big race i.e. Derby, they are declared the day before to run, then get to the day and the declaration disappears and the horses aren't in the race. Anybody else got this?

Re: Horse declared then not declared
The Derby has a maximum of 20 runners. If more than 20 are declared, the lowest-rated horses will be eliminated.

Re: Horse declared then not declared
It's now possible to set maximum fields for certain races in SO5, so the real-life maximum of 20 has been applied to the Derby.

Re: Horse declared then not declared
I have sometimes declared for 2 races with one being later on in the month. After I run the first race sometimes the second declaration is gone and I will have to go in and declare for it again.

The game is now programmed so that in any given season horses that place in the first three in a race of a certain grade will concentrate only on races of that same grade or higher for the rest of the season, and if they had any entries already made for a race of a lower grade they will automatically be withdrawn. This should really only happen with game-controlled horses, but perhaps it's happening with players' horses too.

retambris wrote: How do I do that please Panther You mean set maximum field sizes? This is already set for the Derby and some other races. You need to amend the showcase files. I added a basic guide in the Game Mods forum to explain what all the numbers in the showcase files mean.
