Bill you might have to download WinZip, google it and it'll come up. You can use the trial version for free. Then follow Sabella's instructions on the first page, it's that easy. I managed to do it with very little knowledge just by following the instruction on page 1.

Sorry it is not working for this particular dummy. renamed to sav 5 which was empty and started new game in that slot, played through the season but nothing shows up in pool.
I must be doing something wrong but not got a clue what.

@ Bill - Okay, so once you've renamed the downloaded files to 5.sav ext5.sav ln5.idx o5.idx you need to drag them into your My Documents > StartersOrders5 > saves folder and say yes to overwrite any old 5.sav files. Then open up the game, go to Start Game and there should be a save game already in slot 5. Load that save and the horse you downloaded should be there where it lists the horses you own. Go into the horse's page and make sure 'Retire to game pool' is selected, then progress to the first day of the next season and the new horse should appear in your game pool.

Hopefully this helps, I know it can be quite confusing, but once you get the hang of it it's really easy

Yep, so at that point all you need to do is go racing one or two days until the end of season and he will be sent to your game pool, then you can import him into one of your save games by going to the game pool (the two arrows facing clockwise in the row of buttons up the top of the game (when in a game)) clicking his name and then clicking the 'import this horse into game' button.

Having problems with it Sabella...

Have put it into the game and loaded it but when i go to click on the horse to retire to game pool it crashes the game...

Any ideas??

Yeah, I've just tested the file and I cannot make it work no matter how many different ways I try. It's just that one horse that's causing the issue. I'll upload her half sister, she's working fine.

Shihoin, the half sister, is out of an absolute legend of a broodmare in my game, Kikoi. Every foal of hers, bar one, is a 10+ G1 winner, so hopefully her daughter will be brilliant in the breeding barn, too. Also, she won 13 g1s, so she's not too shabby on the track, either. Not quite the monster I originally planned to share (still don't understand why that one horse file won't work), but she's thoroughly decent.

how do I upload my mare? unbeaten in 40 runs and 30 or so G1s

i have a monster mare she has won the oaks in several countrys and the leger in heavy ground

pj do you know what happens if someone uses your downloads for the league (accidently or otherwise) if memory serves all parties are removed from participating.i believe thats what happened a couple of seasons ago.this is a bit of a mine field if you ask me and i for 1 wouldnt go near it as i know how much effort you put in it would be a shame if it happened.though i do respect that people who purchased the game have evey right to play it as they see fit.
