 let's take stock
Of what a great game SO5 is. Surely we all agree that no other horse racing sim comes close?

 Re: let's take stock
Only other racing sim I've played is SO4 which was fantastic and now with the patches beginning to fix everything SO5 has far surpassed it. Once the pure trainer mode has been developed slightly more that will be another fantastic addition, kudos have to go to Mark, he has made one of the most fun and addicting games I've ever played!

Graham As I said in my earlier post ..." Playing other games." This game is the most addictive game I have ever played. Not only is it the best ever horse racing sim I think it is the best sports sim.

 Re: let's take stock
The first horse racing game I remember playing, was a game called
Grand National,it was a topdown veiw of the horse you were riding
and it was played on the "Sinclair Spectrum". The only problem was you could give the whole field 30 lengths
start and if you didn't fall, you could be in the lead before the
chair. Games have certainly improved since then.

 Re: let's take stock
HRM was my first game i ever played, its 3D which is good but graphics aint good, no real life sched or Groups, most of the horses and jockets where french which just made the game crap SO4/5 is only 2D which compared to games now is not good as pepople would think but actually playing it in 2D is just amazing and so addictive, the only horse racing game that actually reflects real life. HRM 4/10 SO 8/10 The reason i put 8 is there is still some improvements with the game that could be made ie. whip rule, jockey bans/injuries, getting told what the horses injury is like broken leg etc, each jockey has there own attributes, better owner interactions, of course owner mode is still in active development.

I have played HRM and i think 4/10 is a bit generous.

Click on the horse that is injured to go to its data screen, news bar scrolling along bottom gives you head lads verdict on the horse and what its injury is.

 Re: let's take stock
Played G1 jockey on ps thought that was ok but when you compare it to SO5, SO5 wins hands down. Addictive ain't the word i have actually stopped playing world of warcraft to play this! Great job all

 Re: let's take stock
By far the most accurate simulation of any Horse Racing game.
Credit to Mark and the teams involved, excellent price for what gives you LIMITLESS entertainment.

The game is amazing, and, when the trainer version has been fiddled with I shall have another go at that and I'm sure a whole new world of gaming will open up.
