Post Absolute Potential
I always thought if a horse had its Absolute Potential box full with darker green it had the potential to be a 140 rated horse, If its box was half full then would only be a 70 rated horse at best and so on...
I have a 3 year old filly bred from a 130 rated stallion and a 112 rated mare... Her Absolute Potential is 3/4 with the darker green and she has fulfilled it.. Going on my method i would presume she would only be 105 rated at best and had she not won all 5 2 y.o starts would probably have got rid!.... She has now won 12 from 12 and is rated 138!
Amy opinions?

I'm unsure that the absolute potential bar can be directly compared to the rating myself.

The rating is based on performance in a race. I don't believe the overall potential rating has anything to do with who high the horse's ratiing can be. YOu might have a horse 100% potential, but it doesn't live up to its potential, hence may not perform well in a race therefore its rating will be low.
