Just wondering how many horses people breed a season how many i should aim for, the highest ive bred a season is 11.

I'm breeding about 50 a year at the min, its prob to many but I get some stars every year

no more than 30

i breed 30-40 a year...if i dont like look of em i sell but buy back if they go over 1.3 mill.....last season sold 15 but bought back 10...well see what there like when i get back offshore this eve.

i do exact same really good thing to do it filters out the rubbish doing that and doesnt take long

I only breed 4 a year. Trust me, once you have brilliant bloodlines it saves the frustration of having a potential superstar wondering round in listed races because there aren't enough GI's left.

I bred 69 and they've just turned two. I sold 26 straight away, their potential was not high enough. Next I have about 12 stayers and out of them the ones which already have high ability are put out to grass as they don't need racing to improve. So now I have 30 something which is easily manageable.

Get a run into those which show greeness on the gallops, win a maiden in April/May with the forward types before going to Ascot. The more backward types run in maidens around the same days as the group races as I find them weaker. But I'm not fussed if they get beat, I play for the league so its about realising potential for me.

I do opposite Matt I ditch the ones that have only reached say half there potential I sell them
then I race the ones with near full potential
the ones I sell make the game harder because they end up being great competition I have sold some monsters but I like that
because I am concentrating on 2 distances 5f 6f so enjoy the ones that come back to bite you then if one of my 3yo beats
them I no they are top class
and you get a 50 50 shot of breeding with the good ones sold

the above has worked really well for me

what i do after 10-15 seasons when im winning everything is breed about 40 horses a season but then randomly sell half to keep the game competitive and make G1 races even harder to win then again some G1 are alot harder to win in so5

Breed lots.. Depends but sometimes as many as 30. Most times in the teens but I discard all but 3/4 based on parameters I have about what I'm looking for to breed for the future but also if I think they are fast enough. A lot of times I don't sell them but simply put out to grass and retire at the end of the season.

40 in my flat game. Sell around 6 2 year olds at end of season ( The sprinters and milers who trial badly )

25 or 26 in my NH game.

Import 4 to 6 into each game from the other game each season depending on stats and jumping ability for Nh game and the 3/4 year olds that trialled well in the ck to my flat game
