Trail times in the CK for NH is pointless imo. Specially when it comes to the league.

There are so many factors to take into account, so for people putting up times is pointless, doesn't mean a thing.

agreed don't bother with times in Nh myself. Don't trial on ground better than good to soft either. At least horses are more consistent in SO5

That's a good thing if horses are more consistent in SO5. In SO4 they wore shocking.

Not played the game since it first came out, but am guessing NH horses in SO5 will be consistent over a variety of distances.

It's been fun in the league and i hope it gets even better for you all. I will surely miss it, Cheltenham festival even more so :(

Yes this is way better especially in NH but on the flat as well.

Finally I'm getting close to what I call my lost generation (well sounds better than lost horse!). This generation is running 1:10:8ish often but I thought this race was nice because of how tightly bunched they all were! Come to think of it I wonder how fast they would be with a really good pacemaker like I had for the race below.

HD crash accounted for these below. In some ways it was a freak performance by one horse but more than one was running 1:10:6-7 fairly often (3/10 races perhaps).

Ok so I've put a fair bit of time in over the last week. Here we go

5f - 59.02
6f - 1:11.7
7f no trials
1m - 1:40.12
1m2 - 2:07.98
1m4 - 2:32.8
1m6 - 3:08.76
2m - 3:43.55
2m4 - 4:53

Ok ALL these times are using a pacemaker and is the absolute best time I've achieved in all the trials I've ran in the last few days. It could be 20 trials at some distances. The average times are obviously higher, though I dont think any of the times are a freak like the ck could through up in SO4.

How am I doing?

5f - 59.2
6f - 1.11.8
7f - 1.24.2
1m - 1.40.2
1m 2f - 2.09.2
1m 4f - 2.34.0

Those are competitive to my best times for those distances (2:7:8 and 2:32:7 are the lowest I've seen). Can't comment on the 2m+ distances as I don't have any horses for that. I've done the least work at 1m6f and but I've seen a low time there of 3:05 ish (I've got a screenshot somewhere - if I can find it I'll post it) but the average time is probably round about 3:8:0-3:8:5 for me. I might put some work into this but currently working on 8/10/12f.

Well it looks like we'll be battling out the handicaps at 5-8f. I dont think I've seen you in the league the past two seasons? I can tell you from my first season that its GREAT fun lining your horses up for the big handicaps at Royal Ascot and the other festivals. And there's nothing wrong with aiming there, a win is a win. Some trainers are able to put a lot of time into breeding and others aren't, its the nature of many online games. I look forward to seeing a lot of new trainers in the inaugural season of SO5.

I think for most who are worried about joining the League is there horses being donkeys.

If you go in not expecting much you will be pleasantly surprised. It's not all about winning the top G1 races, i find winning a handicap just has exciting.

It's all about taking part which is lots of FUN. Addictive fun more like.

Some trainers like putting in shit loads of hours which for them they are going to get good horses. But a rookie can defo breed a top horse early on in there career.

If i could give any advice join the league and just play it to have fun gain some experience and your horses will get better every season you play the league.

Also try and swap with other trainers horses so you have markers on where you horses are at. Am sure lots of the veterans would be happy to share horses. I used to do it.

All times with 3yo's and best times I've achieved

5f - 58.68
6f - 1:11.7
7f no trials
1m - 1:40.04
1m2 - 2:07.98(Might be a freak time as not seen sub 2:08 since)
1m4 - 2:32.76
1m6 - 3:07.52
2m - 3:39.77
2m4 - 4:45.26(5yo)

Lowered the intensity of my breeding now so wont improve things that much from now. Way behind on the sprints and milers.
