Still finding Jumps side virtually impossible to get new owners, only got 4 horses and lowest one is 92, with stable having 22% win ratio for last 2 seasons.
Not sure what more I can do, I have got 56 stables lying empty.

Why is no one improving owners mode?

We pay 20quid for a game not even fully ready to play..why not release the game when it is ready to be played.

Poor customer service if you ask me, oh well. There is always owner/trainer game but please someone get off their fat arse and sort this out..it seems most players feel the same..

Some manners would help you out Denman, that is no way to get anything done.
Mark does this on his own, you are not talking about EA Sports here so I think you need to change your attitude. This game is worth a lot more than £20, if a big firm made it you would be paying more like £35 and have far more bugs than SO5. So lets have far less insults and in my opinion you should apologise to Mark.
And yes I play owners mode as well.

Agreed. Owners mode was always going to be this way. All the patches for the first few months were going to help fix/improve the main game. Now that is nearly where it should be I think Mark will start paying more attention to owners mode and im sure by the end of the year, if not much sooner, it will be the mode it should be and very enjoyable to play. We get very good value for money with the SO series. Mark also doesn't release a new game every year like the big companies do.

All I have to say is  Why not find out a bit more about the game from some of the other threads about it before making personal insults...?

If, however you do really want your money back then a polite email to SO support may suffice. If your attitude comes across in the email then expect to receive an equally rude reply. Mark works hard for us, but he doesn't put up with insults or rudeness.

On the note of the Owners Mode, it is still being worked on so don't fret. I still haven't had a chance to play it properly yet! Maybe once I get to uni I'll have more time...!

I got offered a few low grade handicappers but nothing decent and still seem to be losing horses for no reason (one won 4 on the trot!!)

Denman5 Mark clearly stated before release of so5 that owners mode would be experimental & Tempremental at the start
if you read his blog and looked through old threads you would see that

the majority of Marks time has been spent fixing the main game which most of us play
this took priority over owners mode he only has 1 pair of hands and it was right for him to fix the main game first
because with the online Lge starting soon enough and the fact that most play the mian game anyway it was right he fixed that first

I am sure the game is now not a million miles off 100% and He will turn his attention to Owners mode
It could take til so6 to get owners mode to 100% we all knew this

I dont no any game maker that puts out 20 patches within 4 months of release i think that is incredable customer service
and i think your comments are very harsh considering how much is charged for the game

EA Sports would ruin so5 Mark is the king horse racing management genre and he is the only one that can improve
an already brilliant game over the next few years i only hope careless comments like yours dont put him off working on future versions

I was hoping for an apology from Denman5, but obviously as I said he has got bad manners. Just hope his comments don't put Mark off helping us all out.
I do think some players expect to win win win like a kids arcade game and that does not happen in SO5 or any version of the game . It is by far the best Horse Racing sim ever been made and I think Mark wants to know the problems but it won't get sorted overnight .

I thought i would give the owners mode another go after the updates.

Still unplayable, i start a new season with 6 horses, i get one of the horses to finish 2nd in a group 1 and another horse to win a g2 and 2 g1's plus keeping the owner happy regarding their runs but he still took them away.

Driving me insane.

It has worked for me in Jumps game, i got offered 71 horses after first Open day.
you need to start a new save after the patch, I have now started a second game and got new horses after second open Day so it certainly works.
Flat game has always been ok for me provided you have got 9 or 10 stars on your Yard picture. I have found that certain owners take away horses no matter what you do.
Try and make a note of the owners that take them away and avoid them.
I usually keep restarting a game till I get better owner and horses.
Hope that helps as the latest patch definitely works.

Unbelievable!!! I won 3 bumpers and then a good novice hurdle at Cheltenham and the horse got a rating of 116, looks an ideal Cheltenham champion novice prospect.
Owner takes it away to a trainer with 1 win from 49 runners and in next 3 races it goes 6,9, PU. all races over wrong distance and going. Just wondering what is going on, does my owner not want winners?

I took your advice and started a NH game and it is so much better, got 46 horses from one owner and have had nearly 100 horses in my stable. Still strange that the flat game doesnt work at all.

I had a similar thing happen to me bill, got a horse and managed to win the RSA and £200k race in france in its next 2 runs then he took it away the day after plus it had the best stats i have ever seen. Then the new trainer turns it into a donkey.

cheers.
