 Re: How Many Horses
I have about 25 now, but, am only 3 seasons in and breeding is just kicking in, I will eventually reach the magic 100 and then micro manage, selling off and retiring horses to make way for the next crop of 2 year olds. The game is great when you're looking after 90-100 horses, and all that entails.

so dont sell 1s with good potential cos they could have max potential by 5 My horses are retired at 5, so frankly the light green bar is all important to me. An exception may be when a horse has superb potential, when I might i use it to breed in times of crisis, especially if it has other rarer good stats like battling qualities and distance adaptability. As a side project, I'm trying to come across a horse with quirks. Such horses are nigh-on impossible to find!

 Re: How Many Horses
Only ever sen one mare with quirks, I bought it very cheap in Auction with great form figures and wondered why it was real cheap, then I saw its quirks were about 80% so I got rid again quick. Had the odd one with small amount but never that bad.

 Re: How Many Horses
I usually breed around 20-30 each season. Then by the time they are 3yo you can usually tell if you have a superstar or not. If they haven't won at least a group 2 by halfway throught the 3yo season I get rid.
