Post Re: 2 yr old standard times in ck
Must admit I started putting off more important stuff in the last month to try and get my horses back up to speed but I have barely played now for 2-3 weeks and dont really envisage playing too much in the future. It takes a lot of time & IMO not enough was done to try and simplify the process in SO5.

I haven't even bothered exporting 2yo's yet, but will start with a few from 7f-1m2 now as I feel they are my strongest distances. I think it wastes time exporting 2yo's until your horses overall are much better.

Actually PJ I don't have many 2yr olds to test and wasn't really planning of running any but have started exporting some from the horses I am breeding at the moment. From a total of 7 horses so far, I'm round about where Nashwan is which begs the question what are his 3 year olds like? :D

Honestly though I probably won't have many 2 year old runners and I won't have any 4 year olds for the league as I don't run my horses past 3 yrs old (just trying to set the fastest times I can at 3). Am looking forward to the league starting though. All this breeding is starting to do my head in

Just out of curiosity how are folk testing 2 yr old runs? Looking at those pics it would seem age has been left at open. Is this how the league would run those races?

There are 3 options for running 2 year old races - age set to 2 yr old, set to 2/3 year old and open. They don't produce the same results  which begs the question how people are testing!

i have run trials with 2yo set and granted they do run slighly slower but not much in it

And you will have fun. There will be maidens throughout the season and also lower band handicaps. I don't think horses will be able to run every week in the league but there should be enough races for every trainer to get a win. Not every horse will win a race but if you have a balanced stable and place your horses well then fun you will have.

Any help or questions then ask away. I'd say I've learnt a lot in two seasons of SO4.
