It's been a week or two since anyone has mention the New so5 online league will it happen this side of christmas is someone sorting out Tom or are we waiting for someone who is busy at the moment ? it could be someone is working on it now behind the scenes and we dont know could rich or someone update the progress and give us a timescale please i dont want to go walkabout and come back a week later and finding the league as started without me.

I think Rich said a few times that he is waiting on dodgydave to sort out TOM. Id like to think it would happen before xmas but its hard to say when you're waiting on other people.

Earliest start date will be late January 2013. Likely start date Feb/March 2013.

yeah i would love to help out how do u think it costs?..or maybe we can have a race a week done but at wierd distances or even gamebred racing at least anything to past the time till the league starts...i even like the idea andy101 came up with 1m4 derby and 1m6 leger race and the results by screenshot...

We could always just run another "pre-season" style schedule until we know, just for a bit of fun

Yeah I am waiting on DD and worse, I've not even heard from him for the last couple of weeks. Pretty frustrating. He could of course be on holiday but I'll try and get some time with him this weekend.

No further updates, hopefully he is OK. I'm going to have to seriously start thinking of alternatives but I've approach Colm to see if he can suggest any short term fixes.

If anyone has alternatives thoughts I would definitely be keen to listen to them.

Rich I think to move forward the league really needs a brand new website platform to run the league efficiently without problems occurring both during and after the season. I can put you in touch with a few programmers if you want to look into having a new league website created.

Could you bud? I'd be interested in seeing what is possible so if you could give them the brief that would be great.

Will do - form what I know of the league website and what we need, it could be a costly project. I think Mark should look at having a league website built and those users who want to play online should then pay a yearly subscription fee - he would make back the money and more. This would however only be fair if the online league system was shit hot

I dont know if it would be that expensive. It just databases and database display, it doesnt have to be spectacular just functional.

Of course, I'd love an online platform that you play "in game" with results and races displayed through the games. With a chat function alongside live races, live match races, group breeding, ownership of courses, user created championships etc etc.

Now that would be expensive.
