Some more progress. The basics for race entries are now in place.

After you're logged on and have uploaded horses, you can now view races. I still have a bit of work to do on the race categories which will be important for entries for particular types of racing but the basic functionality is in place.

The View Races page has four parts:
- race & week navigation - use this to go to any race for the selected league
- race details - info about the current selected race - it will eventually default to race 1 in the current week but as the current week would be week 1, it works as is
- your stable area - your noms or option to remove an existing nom if noms are not closed
- all trainers view - current noms for a race and after the race is run, the results will display.

Happy to take any feedback on the above - it's a lot more compressed in terms of pages than past versions. I've deliberately tried to cut out as many pages as possible and remove needless navigation.

You should now be able to:
enter a race
remove a nom
select any of your horses for any race in a week providing you haven't nomed for the race or the horse isn't entered for a race that week

That's the basics. I will start adding different eligibility tests so that fillies can only enter female only races etc.

I'd be interested in any feedback if any one uses mobile devices eg iPhones, iPads, etc

Any problems or suggestions please let me know. Still a bit to do but once the entries are done we can look at setting for the league proper.

Entered Pulverize in w1 r5 & then in w1 r1 & had no problems on entering them.
I have noticed the little blue box at the bottom of the scoll, i have never seen that before so i pressed it & i like that Dave.

hi dave i have uploaded 10 horses and i had nominated them all in week 1 except one that i nominated in week 8 race 6...i had no problem nominating the horses and it just took me 6 minutes to upload 10 horses,i had done all this using my nokia cellphone i have my horses already in my cells memcard...great work by the way..just had one little problem the horse that i have nominated to week 8 race 6 i was not able to remove the horses nom and when i clicked remove nom the page would take me to week 1 race 6 and i went to check on the the horse named daredevil blazer it was still nominated for the week 8 race and i clicked remove nom again same thing happen..maybe u did not expect noms for week 8 and thats why it wont let me remove the nom or maybe its because i am using my cellphone..thats the only problem i have just that one horse i nominated in week 8 i just cant remove the nom thats all..excellent work dave really appreciate what you are doing for us..

The same happened to me with Pulerize

Great work on the site and it is much appreciated.

Nominating horses works great but I also have the same problem as keenan and nashwan.

I can nominate horses for any week but I can only remove horses from races in week 1. If I nominate a horse for any race from week 2 onward, I can't remove that horse. The site just reloads the equivalent race from week 1. E.g. If I try to remove Full Stop from race 12 in week 9, the site reloads race 12 in week 1 and does not remove the horse.

You should now be able to delete entries for all weeks.

Also, I have made changes to the Week navigation menu - please check that there is no strange behaviour.

After the upgrade, I need to fix the layout of the custom pages (ie those used by TOM).

Any thing else, please let me know.

The next step is to start work on the eligibility criteria for races. I will check through weeks 1 & 2 and focus on those criteria first. When they have been tested, we should be able to make a call about starting the league proper.

hi dodgy i was able to remove my horse's nomination in week 8 no problem...i really like the upgrade to the new site and with starters orders 5 pictures and etc..im using my mobile phone and its just i cant see the full page of my horses and when i click the view trainers menu all i can see is there names i cant see the stable size,country,etc and on view my horses all i can see is their name and age/sex i cant see the breeding,rating and distance i was able to see all the info before but right now cant see the other info its like the screen gets cut out..just wanted to let you know..really love the new theme and everything..

I updated the theme without thinking and it is a completely rebuilt framework. So that explains why things are displaying differently.

I'll focus on the code and business rules for the short term and also will wait to see if there are further upgrades for the theme. Once we get the basics in place, I can do some testing with the theme and see if we can get things back to the way they were.

Hi guys not ben on for a while but noticed we have a new tom so tried it out and entered some of my horses looking forward to new season well done everyone concerned.

What is the website? I've seen two Tom 11 websites but I don't know which one is that actually website. I submitted entries to one of them, but idk if that was the real one. Please Help.

I will try and finish the checks for race entries this weekend - it is the one thing that is stopping the league from commencing.

Please note that TOM is in test and all horse info will be removed before the new league starts. I can't say when that will happen - it's up to the league admins.

Again, apologies for not finishing - timing was not good but a little more patience and we can get it across the line and won't have the same problem in the future.
