( I still enjoy picking up a low level handicap with a breeding trial, as much a Classic.

No embarrassment in that mate!

when i start a new game and transfer horses in for breeding which takes 2years so
i love buying low grade horse and trying to win a handicap
and land a big gamble just to pass the time away waiting for 2yo's to come great fun
i have had some horrors there potential bar not even 10%
but gives you a buzz when you eek out a win and back it off the boards when you no the day is today

i raced 1 horse 15 times in a season at all levels(handicaps) and he won his 15th race his maiden win in a 0-70 handicap
felt like the breeders cup classic to me

Post Re: Out to grass
One of my homebreds started off quite poorly, but now it's suddenly improved and is rocketing up through the weights, and should have racked up a huge winning streak apart from the fact I accidentally entered it in a 1m2 race when it wants a mile.
