Re: New to SO - Tips needed.
this is a real mixture from other threads but have a look
i suggest you start a new flat game and buy some horses in thursday auctions
try and win some major races with what you buy then at the end of the season transfer them to the game pool
then once you have 6 decent flat horses say 3 male 3 female transfer them into a jumps game and start breeding
or you can race them then retire them to stud
if you start on easy mode you get 5 horses 1 or 2 might be decent look at there stats and if they are good keep them if they are no good sell them
5 you get about 2million for them
also to get money early save the game go racing and see if a horse wins well by over 4 lengths and the 2nd horse is say 2 lengths ahead of third
write the name of the 2 horses down press ctrl alt delete shurt so5 down go back in load the game and do reverse forcasts
this give you some serious money to go shopping with

How important are the initial stat bar
not really that important mate
main 1 is obviously ability bars and consistency bar
always buy at E.O.Y 2yo auction when you are starting out always buy all 2yo over 1.2million i have though found it better going to
Thursday auction and look for group winners & 2yo's
when your horse reaches 6 or 7 he will start to dip in potential and more importantly in ability but still passes his best potential and ability
on to his offspring

Appologies if this question has already been answered, but I was just wondering what are the best months to breed your horses to have them race ready as a good 2yo !!
Will breeding later in the year result in waiting until its turned 3yo to debut the horse who wasnt conceived until later in the year.
Does this approach change any of the stats of the horse ?
earlier the better do all mine in january
