Post New League president required.
Unfortunately Richard has recently resigned as he can no longer spare the time to help out. Changes in his work life have put a lot of pressure on his time.

I would like to thank him for all the work he has put in. I know he had to deal with a lot of grief and hassle (especially early on) and dealt with it admirably.

So as Dave is putting the finishing touches to TOM I'll be looking for someone else. To be honest my knowledge of what is involved is very limited as I do not get involved in the league (other than providing the software) so ideally someone would come forward who has been involved in the past.

Mark.

Sorry to see rich resign he did a brilliant job and I think all league players would like to thank him for his time and sometimes patience for running the league I don't have enough experience to offer my services Mark has I never got a chance to help behind the scenes so don't know what is required although I would like to offer my services to help out anyone who would like to take up the reins.

I Have No Idea whats involved in being the League President
and as you said Mark better having someone who was involved in the past
which is going to be easier said then done because anyone who was involved with the League recently have stated how busy
they are which i understand 100% i can imagine for some the LGE is a very low priority because of personel reasons and
life commitments. so its going to be very tough to find a replacement.

A big thanks to Rich for the enormous amount of time he put into running the Lge i can only imagine the amount of time it took
i have only been a Lge trainer for 2 seasons and You made it so enjoyable for all of us and you were always fair with your
rulings a fair and decent man
Best of luck for the future and hope to see you on here in the future

This role needs a few dedicated people who are willing to volunteer there own free time for others in the league.

My advice would be to set up...

2 Presidents
1 Vice President

This way you always have people on board if the others are busy in there personal life to run the league.

My own personal time is limited of late.

With what time i have i'm willing to help any newbie staff who wants to help run the league.

I personally think you would be a great addition to the staff roles PJR. You passion for the game is 2nd to none.

This is basically a fresh start for people who are new to the game and the league and are willing to take the league forward.

Rich did a fab job and i wish him all the best. Thank You

Craig

i would be up for helping out mate

would need a walk-through of what being part of running the Lge entails
I can imagine its a massive undertaking and very time consuming but i am very keen to see the lge grow
but most importantly for the Lge to continue so i am willing to be part of the Team
i Agree with you we need more than just a president or a figure head as stated i have no idea how all this works so
i really cant comment but would imagine a team of people would be appropriate

I think Matt started to help out last year but his time is also very precious right now
really all i know about the Lge organization in the past is Rich was the president that's it don't have a clue who else was involved(Sorry)
Im sure there were a good few people involved behind the scenes i wonder if they will be coming back

This was mentioned awhile ago not sure how it will be done now.

I think what you need is dedicated people to run both the UK and NH.

1 - President for UK
1 - Vice President UK
2 - Race Secretary UK

1 - President for NH
1 - Vice Presidents NH
2 - Race Secretary NH

2 - Bookmakers for the league. I know this was missed seasons gone by. Ryan was a genius at doing comps and other things. Made the league enjoyment 10x more enjoyable and fun.

This will be less time consuming and will lighten the load of the staff roles.

I think pj would be useful for the flat side I would offer my services to help with the jump side as I prefer the jumps side of the game I did do some write up previews which was quite time consuming I would like maybe just preview just the jump side next time round.

I have plenty of time on my hands these days so can help out when needed I know the season before last East End Pier help rich redo the schedules before the problems started perhaps he could help out again.

i want to thank rich for all the work he has done even though i have never been in the league before. I hope that he will come back in the near future..i am a newbie but would love to help out in the league but not as president or vice president maybe a minor role. I do have all the time in world so time is not a problem...I will contact Steve Speight aka (EastPier Whitby) he has alot of great ideas and has done alot for the league he is very dedicated to starters orders and as Mark has said it would be better to have someone that was working on the league in the past. He should be a great president.. I will email steve to see if he can come on the form and talk about it with you guys..

Agree with you Keenan we defiantly need someone with experience
and maybe then some new blood too which is important

Steve would be perfect and i loved the way he was planning to do things last season
but as always it did not please everyone im not sure what happened to him behind the scenes but i would say he got a bad reaction from 1
or 2 people and things between Steve and the 1 or 2 people got out of hand and steve thought what am i doing this for and left
when apart from 1 or 2 people the rest of us loved his ideas and his passion for the lge its just a shame that 1 or 2 people (i dont know who
they are by the way) can spoil it for the rest of us the lge was great last season but with Steve on-board would have been even better

i thought his ideas were excellent i thought his schedules were perfection for trainers of all levels
really to be honest i was not sure about some of Rich's new ideas i thought maybe it would alienate newbies there should be races and
room for trainers of all levels and i think this was steves belief too.

Lets hope you can convince him to come back mate because he would be ideal

This is a big issue with the president role and cannot be understated. Whoever takes over WILL have a minority who will disagree with the way things are run and want to knock everything they do and try to bring the whole thing down for the sake of it. It's a shame but it's way things always seem to be.

Every president in the past has managed to keep a level head and rise above it (even though I know it must have got to them at some point). This is important. You need a tough skin and should be prepared to take a philosophical approach with the knockers and not bite! Otherwise things would degenerate and the league would not be able to continue.

As I have never been too deeply involved with the league I am happy to go with the consensus here.

I could not agree with you more Mark it takes a few to ruin it for the majority i have seen some of the abuse that
the organizers get and at the end of the day is it not just a bit of fun yes you want a fairly run league with the same rules
for everyone & i think clear cut book of rules would cut alot of the agro out i know the distance rules caused confusion
and i think a few trainers lost race wins because of that and reacted badly but at the end of the day if the rules are clear then everyone will know where they stand.

Next president might need crocodile skin but think you cant take any of that to heart and certainly not take anything personally
Organizers and rule enforcers are always an easy target and mostly its not an personal attack
