Congrats pal :D

Mine is 16 this year. It comes round quick for sure.

Always wanted to do the full 4 days and i have to opportunity to do it this year.

It's an open Gold Cup this year, my choice is Sir Des Champs. Think the extra distance will suit and he does love the course. Ticks a lot of boxes for me.

At the moment I have gone back to uni and am studying Computer programming. SO going forward I will be able to sort out any issues in Tom. I think this has been the main cause of problems in the recent past.

However the important thing is to get the season up and running, and if any changes need to be made to Tom code in the future I will be able to do this.

For example I can look at implementing some of Steve's rules for handicapping etc in Tom.

To make the schedule work for the flat, stable size will need to be 30.

NHC will be decided by Leon I presume.

okay that seems great i can add 10 more horses to my flat stable..steve since you know how the league stuff goes and you did alot of work for the league in the past, how about you being president for the flat league you got my vote for sure..but if it is too much work then i understand because you will also be doing handicapping,preivews,etc...

I think both leagues Flat and NH should be 30 for both to work or we could end up with small fields or even walk over although I have no plans to have a Flat stable at the moment if what steves say gets the nod on Handicap's I might put a stable in as I struggled on the flat and only ever get horses that can run in handicaps.

Steve I hope you could find a way to become President has no one as put there names forward yet and we need to get to start it quick as possible before people lose interest it was supposed to start before xmas but with dave being busy and now rich resigning it seems to be like forever to get this league back up.

I would love to do the Handicapping on the NH side if no one else wants to infact I would like to have a bit part on that side of the league.

I get on well with Steve but I thought the new flat proposals in stable size and schedule were a step forward to a better league for everyone. It would have meant that more trainers had a chance of winning a G1. It would have meant that the top trainers most probably wouldnt have had a runner in the big handicaps meaning that these would be completely wide open and contested by the smaller trainers. Im not saying the ideas were perfect but they were definitely moving away from one or two trainers dominating. If we stick with the old schedule akhc will win every G1.

Also horses are fare more versatile in distance in SO5. I have horses which can run 8f at Ascot and easily see out 10f at Newmarket, which again happens irl. Same with cup horses.
