Post UKRA Flat
Hi everyone just a quick follow up to Leon's Post and an update on how things are going
well firstly as i've said before not sure if i am the right man for the job and believe there were far superior candidates
but we will carry on and do my best

ok heres the Group we have assembled so far forgive me if i have missed anyone out

Referee - Supercat
Bookmaker - deltanion
Schedule - Steve
Handicapper -Steve (Supercat has offered to help Steve)
Newsletter - Steve
Previews - Me (and anyone else who wants to chip in post if your interested)
Commentary - (Need Volunteer)
Race secretary -Race secretary is a big job - we might need two of these. three or four would reduce the time burden considerably.
President - Me (god help you)

& i think there are roles that need filling on the TOM side
will add to the list of jroles when i remember what they are and will contact steve to see what i have missed

anyway forgive me i am a total amateur at all this

Also Please feel free to post feedback & your views and ideas for future development

kind regards
Paul

Hi Pj

I think we need maybe 2 or 3 handicapper's who know what there doing because if it was like last season we had no handicapper after 2 weeks so i think we need back up or the season will be a BEEP up again.

You've missed the point there, Paul.

Matt there was a thread open for a week were people who wanted to be involved could come forward and put themselves forward
to flll the roles needed very few came forward there are still many roles to fill

i was appointed president by defualt and am trying my best
we got Steve back on board & anyway no one else came forward so i am very greatfull Steve is back and we are making strides now and am grateful Keenan got in touch with Steve

i am trying to do my best as i have stated before you would have been a far superior president than me with all the experience you have but you dont want it

i am trying my best to get some sort of league up and running which is a heck of alot better than no lge at all
which looked very possible a week ago

Matt if you were president you could have taken this down a different road
you didnrt come forward so i have to try and get everyone together and move on

i have the greatest of respect for you Matt
as for a plan B having spoken to Steve we are moving on together and he is staying away from the forum for now
& concentrating on important things like schedule and prepping he will be keeping intouch with me regulaarly and i will update everyone
we are all open to ideas and opinions
Steve is comitted to this and we will work together

i hope you understand we need to move on

A week? Its not even been open a week. Decisions were made within 48 hours. Things just seem rushed and very undemocratic to me.

I would not make a good president as I could not put up with all the crap that Rich did. I just feel we need to slow down a bit. Yes start to put things into place but TOM isn't even finished testing yet so we dont need to make decisions like the league depends on them.

What does everyone think about a handicap G1 finals day being added

Image

It would be great for trainers of all levels with handicap quality horses been able to go for a g1 & decent prizemoney
at the end of the season should not take long to add to the schedule but then again i dont know how it is done

would like some feedback on this i think its appealing

To Add i have just looked at Rich's schedule there are 254 races an average of 21 races a week over a
12 week season would like feedback on this too is it enough

The handicaps at the end of season sounds good to me Paul
If we are only having a 20 stable i think 21 races is enough for 1 week
