 Re: Final Flat Schedule
Good spot. Pretty bad that I didn't realise that. Thanks for looking through it. If you notice anything else please post it here. I've moved the Scottish Silver Cup to week7. And made the Scottish Stewards now 5f and renamed it Scottish Sprint Cup. It actually gives more balance to the whole schedule too. Thanks, Kev. So once more here is the latest schedule. http://www.mediafire.com/view/?5rm5ave479h0jxi

 Re: Final Flat Schedule
Hope you don't mind I took your schedule and spruced it up some to make it a little easier to read. I used Open Office to edit it and I'm assuming it'll work with other applications. Thanks for putting all the work into it to make it. Download it and open it to see all the changes. Mainly color coding races, surfaces and classes. http://www.mediafire.com/view/?okf3jk1knolcs92

I was curious and not sure if you know or not but are course conditions (i.e. Firm,Good,Soft etc.) already decided for all the races on the schedule or are they going to be chosen as the season progresses? I'd like to add these to the database if I can because my game horses are almost entirely successful on dirt and I'd like to avoid soft conditions like one avoids the plague.

 Re: Final Flat Schedule
the weather is decided by a random number generator with a propensity for a certain type of going during a certain season. So in summer the probability is more likely for the ground to be good or firmer and in winter it is more likely for it to be soft. As a result the majority of the NH season will have a high probability of having softer ground.
The weather is generated at the start of each week

The weather is generated at the start of each week I was going to ask about this? In the UK no course has had a going description of firm in the last few years, or if it has it is very rare. Did you possibly want to look at the going for the particular meeting over the last 5-10 years and choosing one of them at random? We certainly shouldn't be having hard going.

 Re: Final Flat Schedule
yes I agree the weather is a bit skewed towards firmer ground, but we can fiddle with the probabilities to more accurately reflect the weather in the Uk. In real life there is almost no chance of hard going as courses will water if ground is too firm, so their needs to be a smaller probability that hard going will occur.
If people agree with this I can change the probabilities

The weather is generated at the start of each week Thank you. I figured as much. If people agree with this I can change the probabilities Different story in the US where some turf courses have no right to be called a turf course. But I understand that this is UK league and I will accept what the majority prefers.

 Re: Final Flat Schedule
Now before you go changing things about don't forget BATH is the highest course in Britain and as no water to water the course so if we do get a drought we would have HARD ground at Bath although BATH is never in the schedule.
