 Re: UKRA Trial Replays
A little surprised how well I did as my stable is geared for NH. Most of my runners were jumps bred, and I didn't run my best stayers. There are possibly only 2 in here that will make my league team. The majority of my stable will be long distance horses 12f and up. Don't really breed that many sprint /milers
One thing I noticed is that all my hold up horses ran really well. This is a major difference from SO4.
Congrats to all the winners. Nice to see some new faces in the winning enclosure.

 Re: UKRA Trial Replays
Some of the times struck me as quite slow. The 10f at Redcar especially stood out in that respect. And the horses I ran weren't that bad. They were the fastest horses I had from a previous strategy for breeding prior to the one I am using now so it gives me a good indication that lots have made great strides since the last set of trials seeing as their slower stablemates ran and did quite well then.
FWIW I'm sure that quite a few have saved their best for the league. Certainly Doc didn't have any 3 year olds running at 12f and he'll definitely be the one to beat at Epsom. Anyway it's great to see the strides being made towards the league becoming a reality and there's a buzz which is great to see.

 Re: UKRA Trial Replays
The times will be slower in the league. For one there is no pacemaker. There were quite a few good trainers missing Doc hay, Hacket, Padraig to name just a few. There is still 2 weeks to go and other trainers will improve their stables as well

 Re: UKRA Trial Replays
Slower for sure.. but as slow as that 10f maiden? That time of 2:10:22 is incredibly slow. Just compare the splits with the 11-13f races. The first 4f are quite a bit faster in all 3 races which are longer. That 10f maiden was the outlier for sure.
I don't know the pace in the league is that slow, there appears to be 1/2 horses in every race running early pace and they do set a good clip so I'm not sure the races will be that slow but we'll see som enough.

 Re: UKRA Trial Replays
Well I was very disappointed with my 10f, he just didn't seem to quicken and a slow pace would explain that. What I entered is roughly my league team. I haven't bred in some time and the last time I tried I just could not improve anything so gave up.
I think I will be in the second tier

 Re: UKRA Trial Replays
Yes the Dudes horse stole the race. Its nice that a new trainer won a race. Mine also didn't quicken but thats the league for you. Quote: I think I will be in the second tier Don't think so. Think you will do well. You have some good horses. Especially your stayers and your 3 milers

 Re: UKRA Trial Replays
That was good stuff. Thanks all for putting it together. Almost all my success in my game is on dirt so maybe I'll do better when the dirt comes around. Some of my runners might of placed higher if they'd had a better trip or a better ride. I've said that before. It couldn't possibly be my fault they ran poorly.
