Post Re: UKRA Trial Replays
hi i am delighted with my horses run this time much better from last time have not played for how many months and to my surprised not one last place finisher unlike last time lol..here are the ones im proud of:

R2 6f - My Blazer Alia finished 2nd to the horse trained by leon.
R3 1m - White Asian a nice 5th place
R4 1m2 - A Belli Blades decent 6th place finish
R9 1m2 - Toad Bleu Knight very good 4th out of a large field with 21 runners.
R13 2m3 - Marjurita Raw a very nice 4th for the stayers race..

Also good performances from my other horses that has finished 7th,8th, and 9th place..
Had an awesome time i cant wait for the league now..Thank you to all the people who have run the races, worked on tom,etc..Congrats to all Winners and Placers

R1 5f 2yo - Tricked Ya WON and she is my most consistent in trials but I find 2yo's so inconsistent that if we ran that race again she might not even finish in the first five. Others will have better.

R2 6f 2yo - Go On Son finished 4th after hitting the front too soon. Again with 2yo's you never know. He could be in the league as a 2yo, 3yo or go hurdling!

R3 1m 2yo - Swet was given far too much to do by M Hills, must be due to retire soon, and ran on for 6th. Again could be in the league as a 2yo or go for a hurdling campaign!

R4 1m2 2yo - Crushed Ice ran really well to finish 2nd. Bred 10/6/2012 and is still one of my better 10f 2yo's. We haven't done an awful lot since then and it might be worth seeing what his offspring are like. Didn't train on as well as others.

R5 6f 3+ - Go On Clop finished 5th but was always outclassed and outpaced. We are quite poor at 6f.

R6 5f 3+ - Hungerstrike only beaten a length into 5th after setting too fast a pace. She is pretty good and is a new breed so hoping to send her to stud to my other 5f stallions and see what happens.

R7 1m 3+ - Shot Down WON which was a pleasant surprise. He's decent but I dont think he is anywhere near G1 level. Bred in September and again not much has been done with him since. Looks like it would be worthwhile sending him off to stud after this.

R8 1m1 3+ - Go On Swet ran really well to finish 2nd. She doesn't stay the extra 1f and isn't as good as the other filly's over 1m.

R9 1m2 3+ - Go Morning 8th. Slowly ran affair and anything that was held up was beat after 2f. Very hard to make up ground in the last 2f and dont think the form is up to much.

R10 1m4 3+ - Get It Down Ya ran 3rd and was pleased with that. Not sure if he's in or not. Need to sort out 1m4 horses this week but he is consistent without being brilliant.

R11 1m6 3+ - Trickster finished 3rd and again he is consistent but lacks the class for the top races. Surely Ebor bound.

R12 2m - Pinks For Girls finished 2nd to an impressive winner. But I fancy that Pinks will be better than this in the league and could be entered as a 4yo.

R13 2m3 - Feathers WON this after it seemed he outstayed everything else. But im not sure about the pace of the race and if he is my best Gold Cup/Cadran horse. I think one or two others might have better and it seems the long distance races can lack pace so can become tactical like last seasons Gold Cup did.

Overall happy, especially as a lot of these were bred in June-September. Thats partly because I've hit a brick wall breeding and partly because of other commitments(FM13  ).

Over the moon with how my horses did! thought they would all trail in last.

R1 - NUMERICAL - ran a blinder came 3rd over 5f, even though his best trip is 6f, knew he was a forward 2yo but not that forward!
R5 - FLYBEFOREYOUBUY - came 8th out of 28 in a 6f sprint, was satisfied with her run, and could be a one for the big handicaps.
R7 - GIULETTA - 3yo filly came 5th in a maiden against older horses, could put a blanket over the first 6 home. cracking horse, always rated her.
R11 - MAYOR OF ABERDEEN - came 5th, was out the back with 6f to go, was flying at the finish and never nearer, given a suspect ride by Shane Kelly!
R12 - THEODORE - placed 3rd over 2m, not his best trip, never runs a bad race, could be an ebor horse or go for my beloved Northumberland Plate!

Thanks to everyone who made the league possible, im a rookie and its a great experience, cant wait for the season to start.

They might but running the race under 2yr old race conditions they will never be able to show it. FWIW I've run trials under same conditions as the UKRA trials and at 5f I don't see much faster (we're talking 0.1s in it). 2 yr old races are a crap shoot as run but that's the way folk want it.

I'll have some two year olds :) but simply because I have the space as I don't see the need to have any more 3 year olds on my team and simply accept the results are a tossup.

I'd be surprised if the Guineas winner (if run on good) did not break 1:37:4

So quite happy with a random bunch being competitive.

Well done to all the winning trainers

r1 - Gold Blade (9th) ran ok. not sure the trip suited
r2 - Panning For Gold (6th) ran well.
r3 - Stop The World (7th) was hoping for better tbh.
r4 - Sonic Glory (10th) will be in my jumps team. very good hurdler around 2m6f.
r5 - Golden Wonder (11th), Alone (12th) GW is better over 7f, Alone is better at 5f. Both are handicappers at best.
r6 - Beyond Doubt (17th) not good enough
r7 - Birdsong (14th) ditto
r8 - Bright Star (6th) encouraging effort. might have been better to run this one in race 9
r9 - Grooving In Green (9th) full brother to Irig but can't jump at all. might have been better off in race 8.
r10 - Rankin (17th) dismal effort
r11 - Watching The Detectives (8th) didn't get the best of trips but well beaten anyway
r12 - Coconut Rum (4th) very good effort over a trip too far.
r13 - Jupiter Island (8th) ran well for a long way before weakening late on.

I'll try and do a preview for my league team but it won't be until next week. Still got to do my trials.

Well done to all winners and placers and good luck to all in the league.
