Against other game breds? That would be tantamount to suicide . If a horse is well handicapped and there are plenty I suspect that will be I expect the winning time at Melbourne to be under 3:30

 Re: Stable Tours SO5 (Flat)
It could be, but er it will keep the weight down for mine! The handicap spread is only 30lbs though you would need a real 2m horse to do that. I dont think the time will be under 3:30? Ah it could be on firm.

 Re: Stable Tours SO5 (Flat)
Okie.. just ran a quick test. A bit extreme but it rams home the point. Probably 1s for every 10lbs. And I know that at this distance my horses are not going to be the best around given how many are targeting 2m+ whilst I haven't.

 Re: Stable Tours SO5 (Flat)
I don't think so . I don't know if I have the fastest pacemakers around but I think they are pretty quick and that does help to run fast times. The pace in the league won't be anywhere as quick but I think given the number of trainers most races will have 1/2 horses running race handy. The splits are crazy because of the pacemakers, in that trial race I ran 3 of them and they are all capable of running fast carrying G1 weights. Carrying 7lb10 means they go so much faster. Here's are the pacemakers that set the speed.

 Re: Stable Tours SO5 (Flat)
That time is so unrealistic, Andy. I can get 3:32 but my second split is 13 seconds slower. No way the Melbourne will be run like that.

 Re: Stable Tours SO5 (Flat)
Exactly.. and I firmly believe that some are playing it very quiet too. I really think it will be more competitive than some think.
It is a bit unrealistic but shows what envelopes can be pushed. I don't expect to see such pace in the league at all and looking at this I think it is unlikely 3:30 will be broken. I don't think any distance horse capable of running that time will be running off 7st10.
