Post Distance rules and handicap routes.
I am still very puzzled by this.

This is the only consideration to be taken into account.

Races:

7f Maiden
8f Handicap (No 7f or 6f handicaps available)
7f Handicap (Horse ran in snatches) (you can view the race if you want). It needed a strong pace, which it didn't get.
6f Handicap (No 7f races)

This horse is actually better at 7f, if you watch the Wokingham, he flew inside the final furlong.

I haven't broken any rules. Almost all trainers run over different distances. I ran the horse at its best distance in the maiden.

This was a statement you made yesterday. I can not understand why you did not not run the horse in race15, the very next race on the card, which was the Buckingham Handicap over 7f? As you say this is the horses best distance. So they why run the horse over 6f?

Once again if you could clear this up it would be great. It would be nice if this thead wasn't deleted. I am asking honest questions.

Been following this and this is my take on it. It's one race and if it's really a first time winner then congrats and all that. I really think the trainer has gone out of his way to bend the rules and then trumpet the win in a way that smacks off trouble stirring and a hidden agenda. I think that is detrimental to the atmosphere of the league and the league leadership should do something about that.

best distance is 7f but went for the 6f race  That clears it up then that the horses best distance is actually 6f, hes done it within the rules, ive got no problem with it personally but he shouldnt be on bragging about how he done it crookedly. I was actually happy for him that horse won because of what happened earlier in the season but if its actually that steve guy and he is trying to cause arguments then there is no need for it. He had his chance to do what he wanted with the league and went off in a huff.

btw Matt, sorry the ratings are not done yet, ive not had much time this week, could have done it on monday  my mistake, but im on it just now, should be up within the next couple of hours m8

Here's the other thing. Most trainers (maybe all) want to have better horses and win the big races. The handicaps are there to give them something to aim for whilst they are breeding better ones. That's great for getting involved and we need as many trainers as we can get so that we have a great league after all the point of the league is competition. For all that Steve wanted his set of distance rules to prevent cheating the only case where we are questioning the intentions of the trainer is this one where there would appear to be an axe to grind. Everyone else is abiding by the spirit of the rules as far as I can see. Isn't that great? And doesn't that prove we DIDN'T need Steve's rules?

I think Teleprompter has failed in whatever he wants to demonstrate.

No rules broken, the horse won by a neck effectively off 70 (with the claimer on board) - 14lbs lower than the initial mark.

I went for the 6f race, due to the lack of pace when tried over 7f. (That is why race 15 was avoided - yes I agree it was available my error).

The horse is good over a number of distances. The 8f race against quality league standard milers tested its stamina to the limit but there were no alternatives that week.

I am happy for the horse to receive a hefty weight penalty if Doc Hay thinks that is appropriate.

He will run next in the Bunbury Cup with or without the penalty.

The stewards have made a decision - the result stands.

There are a number of players who have won races, trying a new trip. In the Wokingham there were nine horses who had at some time entered a handicap using a new distance.

Time to move on.

You now say you "avoided" the 7f race. But you have clearly stated before that there was no suitable race so thats why you went for the Wokingham. So which was it? I find your statements confusing and often contradictory.

In other statements you have said you want your horses to run every week. Can you please tell me why you chose not to run Sharp Reply in week3 and also why your other horse has had two runs and will now not run until week10?

That's enough guys. This thread will be locked. I don't mind you discussing it, but throwing around accusations and name calling will not be tolerated. The decision has been made, lets all move onwards and upwards.
