New Uploads

Luft Ruler 5yo Colt 1 mile
Tried my milers without pacemakers
obviously got my final shortlist of trailers by running pacemakers
but the final 10 trials were run without pace to emulate Lge Conditions
this fella in almost every trial final he set the pace and stayed on strongly won 6 of the 10 trial finals

Red Setter 5yo colt 5f
completely change my trials as my sprinters have been a huge disapontment this season
trialed at Epsom fast going and Red Setter dominated trials he is quick so hope he will do better than current buch in lge

Desert City Superstar 5yo Mare 2 miles
been pleasantly surprised with Daring Truths performances in lge this is my No.2
2 miler trialed her at Melbourne with a view to running in maiden then to the MC

Egyptian Princess 5yo Mare 1m4f
Decent mile 4 Mare to be honest none of my 1m4f horses really get near Was Not Wrong a G1 winner in Lge he beats EP everytime
She is best of the rest

New Additions
Game Of Life - 5yo, 1m. Could be just short of group class, looking to contest big handicaps
Oulan Bator - 4yo, 2m 4f. Gamebred, my best stayer by far, could be anything, just want to get involved in this 2m 4f banter.
Tina The Heiress - 4yo filly, 1m 3f. Beats Theodore over a length every time over 1m 4f and he finished 3rd in the sheema and 2nd in the jockey club stakes, so looks a good prospect form wise.
Valkyrie - 4yo, 1m 6f. Solid stayer, Ebor is the main target with him.
Allez Les Bleus - 2yo, 1m. My best 2yo by far.

Looking forward to running against the 2m horses. Really did consider keeping Anyigba for next season as she will only run 3 races or so.. maybe even less. However I don't know what I will be doing for next season and I figure I can always breed the next best thing :D

Good luck Paul. I look forward to racing your 3 year olds next season though I expect to have a smaller lineup as I don't see myself breeding too many horses over the next few months.

Post Re: UKRA Trainer Talk Reaction & Banter
Week 6 runners:

Race 3: Curragh Cup: Oak Honduran Crystal: I hope he can live up to his good run in the Ormonde and prove that the extra furlong will be his making. Fingers crossed he can place and maybe even win. NAP

Race 5: Criterion Stakes: Oak Battle Ship: A newcomer this week. He is a 6f sprinter really, but he performed very well over 7f too and I hope he will be up to this standard over 6f and 7f. I was going to wait until week 8 with another of mine to run in a 5f maiden and run him in the 6f maiden this week, but he's better than Oak Charlie Wolf over 6f and 7f and he is a decent handicapper so I'm hopeful he can finish somewhere in the midfield (maybe better). Then I'll reassess next week, I'm hoping he's going to be better than handicap class so no arguments will arise as to my placing of this horse!

Race 6: Bunbury Cup: Oak Charlie Wolf: He is consistently finishing 3rd-6th in these top handicaps so hopefully he can do it again. If it is at the July course (can't remember if the game has both... :? )then that will inconvenience him slightly as he's better over the mile. But hopefully he will run well again.

Race 14: Eclipse Stakes: Oak Crystal Lodge: He ran awfully at Ascot, not really sure why. AKHC suggested he prefers softer ground before that race, but he was a faster ground horse in game. He gets another shot at the top level because with his rating there isn't too much else I can run him in. Hopefully he can run better.

Race 15: Esher Stakes: Oak Victory Sash: Another newcomer. He does best over 1m7f to 2m, but much like with the sprinters I have 2 horses that I wanted to enter and he is the best of them so he gets a shot at the big time. He is better than Oak Honduran Crystal over 1m7f and 2m and sometimes beats him over 1m6f. Though the distance is a little too far I'm hopeful that he can finish closer to first than last. But you never can tell with these types.

Race 17: Warwickshire Oaks: Oak Constable Rose: She is a proper 1m2f horse in game, but she has looked really outpaced and flat footed over 1m2f. She is stepped up in class and distance, I had the choice of looking for a 1m4f handicap or this race. I decided that 1m3f against her own sex might be the better option, we shall see.

Race 25: Thommo is Stoopid handicap: Oak Suffolk Crystal: Another filly who hasn't been doing too well over her preferred distance. I felt she was better suited to it than Oak Constable Rose so she gets another go over 1m2f before I think about stepping her up in trip.

Race 38: Second Chance Maiden: Oak Silver Rocker: He is best over 5f, but there isn't a 5f option this week. He is consistently beaten over 6f and 7f by Oak Battle Ship, but the pair are still clear of the rest at the line. I still think he should be good enough to place, despite the trip. I would expect him to be a top handicap type, so again I hope that nobody will complain!

Race 33: Deer Hunter Maiden: Oak Suffolk Victory: She will stay further than this, but I would expect her to be a handicapper at best which is why she is in the maiden instead of Oak Victory Sash. The pair probably shared the 2m-2m1f races equally in the CK, but she won everything over 2m2f+. I hope she will be a cup horse who will compete over 2m-2m2f, so I would love her to win this but would be a little happier if she was midfield so we get a nice mark.

Chances in week 6

Race 5 - Qasser my favorite horse in the stable won at 7f week 1 then ran 5/6f the next two weeks now back at his best trip i always think he will win so i will say it again, (Double Nap Nap)
Race 7 - Elhayq (Nap)
Race 8 - Qilaada (NB)
Race 30 - Ishraaqat - Needs 6f but only running in this race to see him run against PJ's Greek Dancer, Ishraaqat will be flying at the finish i hope.
Race 31 - Etlaala - This 7f may be alittle short but has a big chance e/way

Not a bad week. 8 winners out of 12 and none worse placed than 3rd.

2 year olds.. Lassair is performing best of the lot with 3 wins on the trot. I probably will not bother with 2 year olds next season. Congrats to Wannabe for winning the Dice Maiden. Not often that I see one of my horses finishing 2nd when leading down the final stretch.

3 year olds

Double Derby/Oaks wins for Tatosi/Yima so happy about that especially given that they don't do well on Curragh generally. Also Nortia for being my first 3 G1 winner of the season :). Taran reversed the result against Matt's horse in the Preakness which was satisfying! Arani didn't do well in the Eclipse as expected and congrats to Joe's horse on a fine run there. I was expecting Matt to win that one TBH.

Which brings us to the new transfers. All won (without being immodest) in convincing fashion. The main issue with the 7/8f horses I had previously was they were running really quite far behind. Some 5-6 lengths and in a mile race that's too far to catch up. Korobona in the 7f maiden did much better at keeping the distance down to about 2 1/2 lengths at the 3f mark and won handily. Why the jockey restrained the horse early is a mystery as the instructions I exported with are definitely not slight hold up! The acid test will be the Sussex Stakes in week 7. Quhalom won the 10f maiden though techinically he's a miler so happy with that too. And last but not least Anyigba won the 14f Curragh Cup though really is my 2m horse.

gutted to get done by a head in the Preakness! Great Britain ran a blinder.

Had my 2nd winner of the season in Avatar, never celebrated so much over a class 3 nursery win at redcar haha. Congrats to all the winners and placers!

Yes it was close! And I'm sure you'll be breeding the heck out of him for next season :). One better next time around.
