Re: GRAND NATIONAL OPENING FOR ENTRIES ?
Only horses whose best runs have been 4m1 or further will show up so may have to do manual entries for all 4 mile horses. Note if your horses best run is over shorter than 4 miles then it will not qualify.
Post manual entires below

Post manual entires below Oh well, looks like my GN dreams are sunk a little earlier than usual this season To help other trainers, can you clarify what counts as a horse's best run. Is it based purely on finishing position or do you take into account other factors such as the grade of race and the number of runners. E.g Horse X has run in 5 chases at 4m+ including at least one graded race and has a best finishing position of 5th. It has also run in one 3m7f 0-120 hcp chase (5 runners including horse X). There are 2 fallers in the 3m7f race and horse X trails home a well beaten last of 3 finishers. Would horse X be eligible to run in the Grand National?

Re: GRAND NATIONAL OPENING FOR ENTRIES ?
at present its only finishing position as thats the only way it can be coded. It does mean that you will need to be careful with your entires of your horses in the future.
But as it is the first season with these rules I can look at mitigating factors so if you feel you have a case post your horse you want entered plus the reasons below.
