As you've found. Anjea is the Aussie bred and Aglibol is the UK bred. The difference is small for me. The worse case scenario for a horse I breed at 3 would be Aglibol. The best would be similar to what was posted here

Image

The question is how much of a boost this gives trainers.

To recap, in the UK game maximum potential DOES NOT increase between 2 and 3. In the Aussie game, maximum potential does go up and the question is by how much. For example if the maximum potential was as shown in this pic below.

Image

What could you expect the maximum potential to go up by? For some trainers this might be a quick way to get a significant boost. For those trainers with potential >95% of max anyway at 3 I suspect the gains are minimal.

I'll have to dig up some old horses and see how much potential can rise between 2 and 3 for horses bred in the Aussie game.

First test horse, not much good as a racer (won a listed race finally as a five year old), ages 2-5 added on one screen.

Scratch the need to go back to old horses. I knew someone had done this work before. The rise you're going to see is either to the 4/5 year old mark as shown in the pic above at most.

i agree with Jalupen, i played an aussie career a few months back and was gobsmacked when i saw my 3 year olds had such high potential bars. It appears to be all superficial in my opinion, as when i came to trial them in CK they were nowhere near my UK horses. Uk schedule is the way forward!

I wouldn't say UK is the way forward. I think whichever is fine.

Walo is Tatosi x Arani and best distance is 1m3f
Anjea is Tatosi x Suleviae and best distance is 1m5f

They can hold their own but I guess given the maxing out of potential I was hoping for more.

I seem to only get 85 to 90 max from two year olds and when they hit five they are maxed..how do you get maxed out two and three year olds? if you have a mare and a stallion that is max potential that are five and send them to stud will thier potential decrease when they age in the breeding barn like when they are 7 or 8 therefore also affecting their offsprings potential?

that is huge
to take off 0.3 secs off my best time in 1 go with just a few basic trials with 1 horse
from now on i will breed in Australia and race in UK
its a massive leap forward its taken me prob 400 to 500 season to go from 230.00 to 229.78
so to go from 229.78 to 229.49 is a massive leap forward

i recommend breeding your horses in AUS race them there as 2yo then bring into a UK Game at 3
I Love The Duke

This needs to be rectified as soon as possible, it makes the game no better and just creates extra hassle if you want to do well in the league, ultimately it's not improving the league as the gains are available to everyone, so it's just extra unecessary work
